1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with 131,000 miles. Car is a piece of history that is in great shape considering its age. The car has been used as a daily driver on days in which I go to work to my five mile commute as well as around town. The Jeep has had many improvements - brand new speakers which sit inside the original speaker covers, a CD player with USB and auxiliary cable connection, a new paint job, new starter, new fuel pump, new hoses and belts, new crank motors in front and rear windows, new vinyl faux wood paneling, new exterior sun visor. The car starts just as a carbureted vehicle would be expected to and runs great around town and at highway speed. Transmission shifts perfectly. Front power windows and big rear window all work perfectly. Back seat windows require new motors to work correctly. A/C simply needs a new hose but works great when that gets fixed. Jeep leaks a small amount of oil, most likely through a gasket that needs to be replaced. The wood panel on front passenger side has a blemish which you can see on picture and rear drivers door needs interior handle re-attached, which I have. All very minor things to be fixed I simply don't have the time to pour into the project that I wish. Vehicle is located about 40 miles south of San Antonio. $500 deposit required within 24 hours of close of auction and remainder required within 5 days. Will assist in helping shipping arraignments, but cost of shipping belongs to buyer. Was attempting to move this earlier from a buy it now to an online auction but ebay was giving me problems doing so I just created new listing.

YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver is a more rugged Trailhawk
Wed, 06 Nov 2013We briefly mentioned the Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver that was heading to SEMA last week when discussing the Mopar lineup set to be shown in Las Vegas. At the time, though, we weren't able to dive too deeply into details. But with SEMA in full swing, we were able to sneak over and grab some snaps of one of the first modified Cherokees we've seen. The Cherokee is, after all, kind of an unknown quantity in the modification department, being so new and featuring such a polarizing design. We were quite interested to see what Mopar could come up with.
Starting with the Trailhawk 4x4 and its 3.2-liter V6, the engine is fitted with a Mopar cold-air intake and a new exhaust, although it's not clear what sort of power boost has resulted. We'll admit, we were hoping Jeep and Mopar would get a bit more aggressive with the Cherokee's suspension (has anyone thrown a few-inch lift on the new Jeep yet?), but there's no mention of upgrades beyond the knobby, off-road tires. Those should do some good when the going gets rough, while rock rails are there to protect the Auburn Pearl paint on the body.
Speaking of that paint, it's complemented by an interesting graphics package in contrasting black and Crush Orange. The cabin sports Katzkin Amaretto leather seats, along with tech-friendly items like a wireless charging system for cellphones and wireless internet.
NHTSA upgrading Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango headliner fire probe
Wed, 15 Jan 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigation into headliner fires experienced by a small number of Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango owners has been upgraded to an engineering analysis, the step before the initiation of a recall. In August last year the investigation began with 146,000 Grand Cherokees from 2012 after three complaints were received, but a report on Edmunds says it has been expanded to include 593,299 vehicles covering the 2011-2013 model years for the Jeep and the Dodge Durango, which uses the same headliner assembly, because of possibly 52 incidents of fire.
In some of those incidents drivers have reported a burning odor, smoke or open flames that were contained to the headliner or migrated to another area of the passenger compartment. The culprit has apparently been found: NHTSA blaming an electrical short in the sun visor vanity light wiring, which is routed under the headliner and held in place by three screws. Chrysler began its own probe into the issue when it was first reported and is still looking into the situation while, "fully supporting the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's investigation."
