2005 Jeep Renegade 2wd Low Miles on 2040-cars
Lillington, North Carolina, United States
See pics, will not lower price, body on jeep 95% inside 95% everything works except for these item's listed, check engine light remains on due to a short somewhere in the wiring harness, we have replace all items refrenced in the OBD computer codes, and we re-flashed the computer then replaced the unit with a brand new one, still throws codes. codes are up stream ox sensor and down steam and another evap code.MIGHT NEED A CONVERTER SINCE IT SMELLS LIKE ROTTON EGGS AT THE EXSAUST...jeep has 99000 miles on it, brand new tires, brakes, oil change/filter, blows cold air, clear NC title and inspection is good for one year, however like i had to do get an exemption from DMV inspectors every year showing $200.00 in repairs toward fixing the check engine light and get another exemption for it, or find the problem with it..i have do not have the time to do this, nor the knowledge to go further with this unit, might be cheap might be expensive..who knows....other than that jeep rides great, power everything, cruise, tilt etc. Do not bombard me with questions what i know is what i have stated, 3.7 litre motor, auto O/D trans, 2x4. Class 3 trailer hitch with reciever and ball, see pics.

Federal investigations about safety of rear-mounted gas tanks is nothing new
Sun, 09 Jun 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Chrysler are currently making waves in our daily news feeds due to a disagreement over the safety of a few million Jeep Liberty and Grand Cherokee models. Specifically, NHTSA has asked Chrysler to recall the SUVs because of the location of their fuel tanks, but you may be interested to know that requests such as this are nothing new.
Besides the two Jeep models, NHTSA has launched investigations over the years in such models as the Ford Crown Victoria (and its police-car counterpart), GM pickups built between 1972 and 1987, and rather famously the Ford Pinto.
Understanding how automakers and NHTSA have dealt with fuel-tank-safety concerns in the past may offer a better understanding of how Chrysler and the government agency will settle their current dispute. Check out the complete article from The Detroit News here.
Jeep Cherokee appears in Chrysler's second Super Bowl spot
Mon, 03 Feb 2014The second of three spots produced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for this year's Super Bowl featured the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Aired during the game's half time show, the minute-long ad didn't strike as anything new or innovative from an automaker with a reputation for above average Super Bowl spots, but it did show the controversially styled Cherokee in the best light possible.
Called Restless, the commercial shows young, adventurous types doing the sorts of things that young, adventurous types do: surfing, skateboarding, cliff jumping, staring off into the sky with a pensive expression, etc. Scroll down to watch Restless for yourself and let us know in Comments if Jeep managed to hold your attention during half time.
Jeep Liberty under investigation for door fires
Tue, 29 Oct 2013The Jeep Liberty has already had plenty of attention for possible fires thanks to the first-gen model's fuel tank, but now the midsize Jeep is under the microscope of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for another fire-related concern. NHTSA has opened an investigation for the 2012 Liberty after receiving two reports of electrical fires in the driver's door.
According to the investigation summary, around 80,000 vehicles could potentially be affected by this problem. In both reported fires, the drivers noticed smoke and then flames from the master power window switch, and they had to pull to a stop and exit through the passenger side of the SUV. According to Autoguide, there was one injury to a motorist who suffered burned fingers while trying to open the driver's door.
Interestingly, the Dodge Nitro is not yet involved in this investigation, even though it was still around for the 2012 model year; the Nitro ended production in 2011 about a year before the final Liberty rolled off the line for the 2013 model year. Scroll down for the official NHTSA investigation summary.
