Up for sale is my 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited model 4x4.
Heated seats and hitch mounting on the rear. AC and all electronics work as it should One of the valve seats came loose couple months ago, which triggered and upper engine rebuild. The upper engine rebuild was completed and now it runs like a champ! over 500$ in machining work (Have receipts to show proof) - Engine Heads shaved and pressure tested - 3 angle valve job - new Valve Seats - New Valve Stem Seals Previous owners had the car lifted ~4in, and it sits on 31'' tires. Looks great and can handle almost any terrain, sits high. Ready for winter ! Couple of disclaimers / known issues: - minor scratches/dings (expected for a 2002 year car) - suspension could use new shocks - Remote control fob does not function since battery died, it will need to be re-programmed. - Factory alarm still works, but it cannot be de-activated from driver's side door. Locking mechanism / opening lock from drivers side is OK. - Fender guard inside protective plastics are cracked, likely from the big tires rubbing off when over steering Selling because I am looking to upgrade to newer SUV in the BMW family. 2014 Jeep Cherokee: June 2014
Wed, 09 Jul 2014I got a text message from Editor-In-Chief Sharon Carty one afternoon proclaiming that her new favorite SUV is our long-term 2014 Jeep Cherokee. And she's not alone. I'm not sure if anyone else on staff would go so far as to use the "favorite" descriptor, but after just over a month of honeymooning with our new long-termer, it's safe to say that the Jeep is quickly finding its way into the good graces of a number of Autoblog staffers.
There's good reason for all that praise, too. Thus far, the Jeep has proven itself to be incredibly competent and comfortable for daily life - it's functional, quiet, and packed with a host of amenities that make it easy to live with. It's been wholly trouble-free (with less than 4,000 miles on the clock as of this writing, it ought to be), but even nitpicks have been few and far between.
2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo
Tue, 14 Oct 2014The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.
