2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Sport Utility 4-door 5.7l Hemi on 2040-cars

Year:2005 Mileage:191700
Location:

Greensboro, North Carolina, United States

This 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited is loaded with every option that was available on this model. This Jeep has the 5.7L Hemi engine, tow package, Quadra Drive II 4WD or AWD (both are available on this model) roof rack, moonroof, 2 tone leather interior, automatic transmission, NAV, 6 disc CD changer, DVD Player, auto-sensing high beams, auto-sensing wipers, AC is cold, new tires (less 1,000 miles), chrome wheels, privacy storage in back, new brakes and rotors, changed oil yesterday. This car is absolutely loaded.

We bought this car for our son and the 5.7L Hemi was not good on his wallet for gas, so we are selling this Jeep. You will not find a better equipped Jeep Grand Cherokee than this one. This Jeep has never been in a wreck, and the paint and interior are in good/great condition.

The downside to this vehicle. The check engine light came on the other night and the engine started to run like it was missing so I took to to Auto Zone to have them hook it up to the computer and see what disgnostics came up and it said that there is a misfire in cylinder 6 and the oil type may not be correct, so I took it in for an oil change and used the recommended SAE 5W-20 oil. It still is running rough, but for somoene that knows about engines, it could probably be fixed with not much difficulty. I do not have the time to mess with this, and because it is not the greatest on gas mileage we are deciding to sell this Jeep. This car was obviously a road car because of the mileage 191,000. The drivers seat has some wear on the seat (probably because the mileage and someone getting in and out of it so much). We just bought this Jeep in March, and it has been a great Jeep (minus the MPG) up until this week.

This Jeep Grand Charokee in GOOD condition values on KBB private party for $8,515.  I am located in Greensboro and can show this Jeep at anytime.

25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge Durango SUVs recalled over brake feel

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

Chrysler has announced that it is recalling over 25,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango SUVs from several markets over concerns about brake feel under hard braking. The affected models are from the 2012 and 2013 model years, although the actual dates of production aren't available. 18,700 are in the US, while 825 are in Canada, 530 are in Mexico and a further 5,200 outside of North America.
According to a statement, Chrysler was informed of the issue by a component supplier for the Ready Alert Braking system, which primes the brakes in anticipation of an emergency stop. A component in the system was restricting the flow of brake fluid too much.
As Chrysler is quick to point out, the way the brakes functioned was in compliance with regulations and there are no reported cases of drivers losing braking power. Instead, the issue rests with what Chrysler calls a pedal feel that "was not consistent with customer expectations." So it would seem Chrysler is being proactive and fixing a problem not because there's a legal issue at work, but simply because it doesn't feel the way the manufacturer wants it to. Well done.

Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal

Mon, 20 May 2013

A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.

Chrysler to accelerate production of 2013 Ram and V6 engines

Fri, 16 Nov 2012

Chrysler is adding a third shift at its Warren Truck plant to meet demand for the new 2013 Ram pickup. And with tight supplies of its Pentastar V6, the company is also boosting output at its Mack Engine plant.
The expansions will add 1,250 jobs and are part of a $238 million investment by Chrysler in the Detroit area. Warren's third shift will begin work sometime in the spring, a Chrysler rep told Automotive News. Mack's increased Pentastar production a could include both 3.6 and 3.2-liter engines.
The company says it also plans to invest $40 million in its Trenton Engine plant to allow for production of a 3.2-liter V6 as well as the Tigershark inline-four for the upcoming Jeep Liberty replacement.
