Hello, Im selling my 2002 grand cherakee overland, its in great shape, paint shines, runs great, things I have done are simple, head, fog, and back lights are all after market, bull guard on front, also the rocker panel on the bottom is from a stock grand cherakee, the limited and overland did not come with that look. Also custom floor mats that fit great, the grill, hood, lift gate are plasti dip, its not real flat black paint, it can be peeled off, the stuff works great and keeps the paint clean and is easy to use. the rims are about 2 years old and are in pretty good shape, the tires can maybe last another winter but I would get new ones after that. The front rims rubb on the plastic inside the wheel wells sometime but you hardle notice, in reverse they rubb if you cut the wheel all the way, but if you know then its fine,I also have brand new rims for the winter still in the box as shown in the pics, they were 500 bucks and are included in the sale. Has a tow package, a full chrome spear that I used one time, maybe 50 miles on tire, rain guards were also after market, the sound system is stock but is alot better then most for stock, everything works but the heated seats, Has a flow master 44 series muffler and sounds great, Has the 4.7HO, about 270 hp, and plenty of power front the start. leather is in good shape, only some cracks on the drivers seat, the rest is in great shape. I keep this thing in great shape, clean it every weekend, oil change was done, brakes and rotors are about a year old, forgot, has after market rotors, and they work great, I put in a water pump and starter since i had it. I got it with 58k on it and never had a thing go wrong but the things i just said, 10 disc changer, My wife hit the pass side fender and it was replaced so that will come up on carfax if you check, befor I bought jeep i have no clue if it was in a crash or anything like that, I have a lean on the truck so if you buy it we will go to the bank to get title, for people that dont know what that means is that I have a loan with a bank on the jeep so when we go to bank, I pay off loan then the bank hands me the title to sighn over to you because you bought it, we can even drive the jeep to bank so you can see how it rides and drives, I have a baby on the way so i dont need another toy, and Im selling this under book value so what im asking is about what I want, not looking to make money just brake even

Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 24 Apr 2014The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.
The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.
Another crazy custom Jeep Wrangler spotted in Morocco
Sun, 03 Mar 2013What in the world is the vehicle you see above? Well, um... yeah. We have no idea. According to the video description from YouTube, however, it's a modified Jeep Wrangler, and it comes from the same person who created the equally insane side-by-side merged Wrangler you saw here.
We can clearly make out the Wrangler-shaped passenger compartment up top, but as for the other bits and pieces that make up this rather amazing machine, your guess is as good as ours. At the very least, it seems to us that the car's wheelbase has been given a significant stretch, and the grille may have come from an International LoneStar Harley-Davidson Special Edition semi truck.
What other components are sourced from the massive International hauler? No idea. We suggest you check out the video below and draw your own conclusions. Oh, and if you've got any other ideas, feel free to let us know in the Comments.
100,000 Jeep Cherokee models subject to further 9-speed recalibration
Thu, 29 May 2014It seems that the software problems with the nine-speed automatic gearbox in the Jeep Cherokee continue to mount. The programming already caused multiple development delays and even postponed the Cherokee's market launch by roughly two months. Now, Jeep has issued another recalibration to hopefully assuage unhappy drivers.
According to Automotive News, this reflash for the allegedly jerky transmission covers over 100,000 Cherokees built before May 5, but it's not technically a recall. If owners are having problems and complain to the dealer, they get the new software. Otherwise, they continue with the current version. New vehicles on dealer lots also receive the latest revision to the programming. It takes only around five minutes to install, but technicians need to take the Cherokee on a test drive to adapt the gearbox to the changes.
The Cherokee's transmission software has been problematic practically since the beginning. The Jeep plant in Toledo, OH, briefly idled its second-shift workers last year to take care of the issue. Since the launch issues for the crossover, demand has been strong. Jeep added another 1,000 temporary workers to the Toledo factory to keep up, and sales were on par with the Wrangler in just its first two months.
