Selling my 2006 Jeep Commander 4x4 Limited 5.7L Hemi Multi Displacement Engine (uses 4 cylinders at freeway speeds to save fuel). Bought it new in 2006 with the dealer maintenance contract. Has had all required servicing since new. It runs perfect with no problems whatsoever. It has all the options such as: Factory Navigation, Factory Rear Seat Entertainment linked to Navigation, Backup Camera,  Sirius Satellite Radio, Separate Rear Seat AC Control, 3RD Row Seats, Stadium Seating, Seats 7, Alloy Wheels, Chrome Package, Tow package, Running Boards, Sunroof, 2nd Row Skylights, Dual Driver System (open vehicle with key Fob one and it adjusts the seat, outside rear view mirror, pedals, and radio stations to the preset preferences for driver one and key fob 2 does the same for driver 2). Power outlets in front and rear. Rear Liftgate window can be opened by key fobs or button at rear. Auto highbeam, auto rain sensing wipers, auto headlights. Tire pressure monitoring system, compass and thermometer, fuel economy monitoring, Homelink system (open your garage door from the vehicle) Uconnect hands free system, and many more options, too many to list. Has some minor scuffing on the bumpers and at the drivers door handle. No dents or damage. The only problem I had was the AC stopped working which was fixed at Putnam Chrysler Jeep Dodge and still has warranty remaining. AC works great, they replaced the compressor. My wife used this vehicle to get the kids to school and after school activities for the past 6 years. We only have one child at home now so we don't need an SUV any more and my wife wanted a smaller car. I would like to keep it as we use it quite a lot even with the new vehicle as it is great for shopping and when we have guests, but parking is an issue and I would rather not pay the extra insurance and registration. This is a beautiful commander that has been taken great care of as you will see in the pictures. Buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. We live about 5 minutes from San Francisco Airport. If you want to fly in and drive home I can pick you up from the airport with prior arrangement.

Chrysler's Woodward Dream Cruise festivities include Ram concept truck debut

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

The streets will be crowded next weekend along Woodward Avenue in Royal Oak, Michigan for the 19th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise. As part of the run-up to the festivities, Chrysler has announced that all of its brands - Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, SRT and Mopar - will bring along their latest vehicles. Also included will be a collection of classic American cars and various activities for attendees at the official Chrysler location on the corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road.
Special to this year, Ram brand director Bob Hegbloom and head of design John Dehner will unveil a Ram concept truck on Saturday. Chrysler will also bring Ryan Friedlinghaus of West Coast Customs fame along to show off a few custom Chrysler-made vehicles of his own. Fans of the brand on Facebook will get the chance to virtually customize a vehicle from the automaker's portfolio, with the winner getting their dream car built for them by Chrysler. Pretty cool stuff, no?
As in past years, Ford and General Motors will have an official presence at the event as well, and you can expect to see plenty of cars of all makes and models from all parts of the globe. The madness starts this Friday, August 16, from 4:30 PM to 10 PM, with the main event taking place on Saturday, from 9 AM to 9 PM. For more details on the show, including events and their times, check out the press release below.

Mazda2 nets Japan Car of the Year, Cherokee first US model to ever crack top 10

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

The 2015 Mazda2 is quite high up on our must-drive list. Yes, the teeny, tiny successor to the 100-horsepower five-door is worth getting excited over, largely because the previous generation was one of the absolute best smiles-per-dollar values on the market.
While we eagerly await for our opportunity to take to the 2's helm, our expectations of the new car have just been heightened thanks to its win in Japan's Car of the Year competition. Called "Demio" in the land of the rising sun, Japanese journalists handed out Mazda's second COTY award since the CX-5 took the title in 2012.
In more surprising news, the new Jeep Cherokee has made the list of 10 Best Cars in Japan. The Jeep's triumph marks the first time an American car has cracked the top ten, finishing eighth. It's not, however, the first Fiat Chrysler vehicle to snag the title, following in the footsteps of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Fiat Panda. Still, the fact that an American brand can make such impressive inroads into the traditionally tough-to-crack Japanese market is a seriously big deal.

Six 'shut up and take my money' cars

Tue, 11 Nov 2014

Any time you see this iconic moment in pop culture - Shut up and take my money! - posted in response to a new car reveal, rumor for an upcoming model or even lip-service to a vehicle that should exist, you can bet there's some intrinsic good in the idea. Though depending on the person offering up the cash, that good could take the form of extraordinary form, functionality, weight savings, power, handling, etc. You get the idea.
In fact, when I first proposed this list, I reached out to the Autoblog staff to help me brainstorm. Here are some of the ideas they offered up that I ultimately didn't use: Jaguar XE Coupe, Pagani Huayra Roadster, Mercedes-Benz S-Class "parade car" (cabriolet), Morgan 3-Wheeler with Ducati V-twin, Ford Transit Connectamino (pickup), Mercedes CLA63 AMG, Ford Fusion 5.0, BMW i8 Spyder, Lexus RC-F Shooting Brake, Volvo XC90 Polestar. Oh, and things we collectively wanted to stick Dodge's Hellcat in were almost as numerous as models that Fiat Chrysler Automotive currently makes (though none quite so compelling as the Grand Cherokee you see above.)
Ultimately though, while I used a couple of ideas from my colleagues, the list of cars I'd shell out for unquestionably is very personal. Though it isn't complete, what follows is a selection of cars whose very existence would prompt me - or the trust-fund-baby versions of me - to utter without hesitation: "Shut up and take my money."
