No dents apparent. Vinyl clad mouldding on driver's side is detached but inside the Jeep. Engine still ran strong the last time it was started. Tranny & transfer case work properly too. A/C, windows, and locks worked at that time (1 yr ago.) This Jeep needs work to be back street worthy such as tires, brakes, etc. It is a great "project vehicle" as a hunting/fishing/camping Jeep or to build-up a rock climber/mudder. Power seats (not working.) SOLD AS IS/WHERE IS."

This is a Fixer-Upper, "cheap Jeep."  The only body work needed (other than paint) is repair of rusted area above the driver's side doors. Needs tires, brakes, tune-up, battery, headliner, maybe ball joints, and rear axle bearings. Cruise control and power seats not working but repairable.  It has 4 good alloy wheels.  It can be made "street-worthy" pretty easily.  It will make a heck of a good project Jeep for hunting / fishing or to build-up a rock-climber or mud-bogger.  Deposit must be paid  via PayPal within in 48 hrs. of completion of auction and picked up at it's current location within 7 days of purchase. It will need to be towed on a rollback or a servicable tire will be needed for a conventional tow.

Chinese Jeep production confirmed with Fiat, Guangzhou agreement

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

Fiat has just finalized a deal originally set up in January between it and China's Guangzhou Automotive Group to bring Jeep production to China. It remains unclear which models will be built, although we're wagering that it'll be the 2014 Cherokee. What we do know, now, is where production will take place.
According to Automotive News, Guangzhou originally wanted production to take place in its home assembly plant in its namesake city. Fiat has battled to send production to a joint venture facility established between Guangzhou and Fiat in the town of Changsha. The joint facility won out, and now the factory, originally built in 2010 with a 140,000-unit capacity, will see Jeeps rolling out of it.
Currently, the GAC-Fiat factory produces the Fiat Viaggio, a jointly developed product that is closely related to America's Dodge Dart. And while it remains unclear as to which model will join the Viaggio on the assembly line, that model is understood to ride on Fiat's Compact platform. The only Jeep to share those underpinnings is the new Cherokee, so there's not much connecting of dots needed to see why this scenario would make sense.

2014 Jeep Cherokee uncovered with bold new look

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

Jeep has been shuttling around Alfa Romeo-based test mules and camouflaged prototypes of its replacement for the current Liberty for some time now. Those heavily disguised vehicles may have offered a glimpse of the new Jeep, but a new set of production-line images from Jalopnik tell a much more complete story.
Jalopnik report indicates unequivocally that the Cherokee name will be re-upped in place of Liberty, though it doesn't spell out exactly where that thinking comes from, though a name change has been rumored for some time. Chances are good that the same source that delivered these factory images delivered the name, as well.
The Cherokee absolutely has some Alfa Romeo DNA in its makeup, the final product is far from looking like its Guilietta ancestor. The athletic, high-waisted design is relatively attractive from what we can see here, though the grille and headlight treatment are sure to cause a lot of ruckus when the Cherokee makes its official debut at the New York Auto Show in April. The very narrow, pointed headlamps are pinched in a not particularly Jeep-ish fashion, and the curved, short version of the seven-slot grille is far more rakish than anything that Jeep has produced to date.
