It’s a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport (XJ). This Jeep has been built to be an all around vehicle using quality parts. It will do 5 rated trails on the rocks, it will pack and get you where you need to go on long expedition trips, drive down the highway at 80-90 mph just fine, and all while still looking nice and clean. I used this as a work / play vehicle putting 1000-1500 highway miles a week. The odometer reads 191K and I’ve had it since the odometer read 160K miles. There is a mileage discrepancy on the history. Previous owner says due to replacing gauge cluster. It didn’t bother me; the engine runs strong and the trans shifts good. I’ve maintained it religiously and the previous owner was a mechanic who did the same. Anyone who knows these vehicles know you can get 300K plus no problem if you take care of them. I would not hesitate to drive this Jeep cross country, wheel it, then drive back. This is no trailer queen. The exterior has normal scratches from off roading with no dents or major damage. It still cleans up nice. The interior is in good condition with no rips or tears on the seats. Will clean up to look next to new. I have more than reserve price in the upgrades and labor. Watch this Jeep Willys return to its birthplace after 70 years
Sun, 23 Jun 2013Earlier this month, a very significant Jeep was celebrated at the Toledo North Assembly plant. No, it wasn't the upcoming reincarnation of the Jeep Cherokee, but instead it was a 1943 Willys MB that visited the Toledo grounds where it had been built exactly 70 years ago to the day.
Of course, the actual building where the MBs rolled off the assembly line before heading to Europe for World War II no longer exists, but that didn't stop Italian owner Vittorio Argento from having the vehicle shipped to the US to make its trek back to its birth place. According to Chrysler, Argento's MB is still 95-percent original and it drove 1,000 miles from New Jersey to Toledo.

Ward's releases 10 Best Interiors list for 2014
Thu, 10 Apr 2014While we're still a ways off from the automotive awards season proper, where things like North American Car and Truck of the Year, Motor Trend's Car of the Year and Car and Driver's Ten Best are named, that doesn't mean there aren't trophies being handed out to deserving automakers. Ward's 10 Best Interiors being one of them.
As the name might imply, the magazine focuses on the very best interior treatments in the US market. Whereas some awards purposely exclude extreme, high-dollar offerings, Ward's considers them - the only requirement is that a vehicle has a "new or significantly redesigned interior."
Ward's offered up the list of winners in simple, alphabetical order, and it only seems fair to do the same:
