Up for auction is my 1991 Jeep Cherokee Sport. I bought this Jeep in early 2009 and it has been the most dependable and fun to drive cars I've had in a long time. Honestly I don't want to sell it, but I have reached one of those points in my life where, no matter how much I want to, I just can't keep it. So my loss and need to sell will definitely be working out in your favor. Since I need to move it ASAP I'm going to be running the auction with no reserve and an extremely low starting bid. All of the following modifications were actually done by the previous owner. I have tried my best to take care of her in the time that I've had her. The Jeep has been painted, inside and out, with Pro-Tex truck bed liner. The amount of detail that went into this is amazing, they took the jeep apart and sprayed everything! It is a little faded in spots, which can be easily fixed using a truck bed liner cleaner. Also, on the doors, you can see this in the photos, the bottom edges started to rust through a little bit. The engine is a 4.7L crate motor. I don't know all of the specifics but it had low miles when I purchased the Jeep, I have since put 20,000 miles on it. I have done regular oil changes and replaced the clutch about 5,000 miles ago. It has a Sky Jacker lift on it. I can't remember how much, but it's pretty subtle, like an inch or so. Warn M8000 winch. The BF Goodrich All Terrain tires are fairly new, less than 10,000 miles. They have been fantastic tires! Other than that, I can't remember too many specifics about the modifications. I have documentation somewhere, but the need to sell was kind of sudden so I don't have it readily available. Everything else has been in good working order since I've owned it. Sadly, she has sat neglected in my garage for the last 2 years, so I'm not sure if anything has become a problem from its sitting. The air conditioning did work, so if it needs anything it might just be a charging and maybe seals. The U joint on the front right axel is a little noisy. Thats all I can think of right now. Chrysler readying 20 Moparized vehicles for SEMA
Tue, 08 Oct 2013The Las Vegas Convention Center has plenty of space for aftermarket companies and automakers to show off their wares, and it looks like Chrysler is taking advantage of the spacious floor plan. At next month's SEMA Show, Chrysler will have a full 20 cars from its six brands decked out with Mopar gear.
As a hint of what is to come, Chrysler released a handful of teaser sketches showing glimpses of modified Jeep Cherokee, Ram 1500, Fiat 500L and Chrysler 300 concept vehicles. The automaker will also use the venue to show off a new line of Jeep Performance Parts offered by the all-new Mopar Off-Road Division. In addition to the images, Chrysler also issued a brief press release - posted below - breaking down some of the "industry-first features" that Mopar has offered in recent years.
Fiesta-sized Jeep coming in 2014
Wed, 03 Jul 2013We've heard rumors before about a new, baby Jeep to slot below the new-for-2014 Cherokee (pictured) in the automaker's lineup. Now, Edmunds is reporting that the new crossover will arrive sometime in 2014, and will be about the same size as the Ford Fiesta. This currently unnamed vehicle will effectively replace both the Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup.
Speaking to Edmunds, Jeep CEO Mike Manley said that the new, small Jeep will be assembled in Italy and marketed globally beginning sometime next year. Manley did not provide many details on the new model, but did say that it will be 4.2-meters (165 inches) long. The Cherokee, by comparison, is 4.6-meters long (181 inches). Furthermore, Edmunds reports that while the new small Jeep will offer diesel power in other markets, there are no plans for an oil-burning version here in the US.
Many other automakers are exploring this smaller crossover segment here in the US. General Motors recently launched the Buick Encore, which is loosely based on the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact's platform. Ford has already launched its Fiesta-based EcoSport in other markets, and has reportedly been pondering the idea of offering it in the US, as well.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?

But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
