Greenwood, Indiana, United States
Engine: AMC 401, .030 over, comp 280 cam, Edelbrock Torker intake, Holley 750 carb, headers, roller rockers, HEI distributor, electric fuel pump, high torque mini starter, forged pistons, forged crank and rods, AMC 291C heads. Runs 180-190 temp and holds 50 psi oil pressure while driving and 15-20 psi idiling. Runs flawless!!! Transmission: AMC 727 torqueflite, B&M shifter, Aux cooler. Shifts perfect. Transfer case: Dana 20 Rear end: Dana 60 with 4:88 gears Front end: Dana 44 with 4:88 gears, Warn Premium hubs. Particulars: 4WD Hardware fiberglass tub with tailgate, steel fenders, hood, and windshield frame, Painless 10110 wiring harness, newer front seats with recline, rear seat with storage underneath, tilt steering column, Heatercraft heater, 20 gallon stainless fuel tank, heavy duty front and rear receiver bumpers with D rings, YJ family roll bar, hardtop and doors, full bikini top, NEW 35x12.50/15 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's on NEW 15x10 black Crager wheels, power steering, power brakes, tub is white gel coat with black gelcoat on firewall and underneath, fenders and hood are just rattle caned. Inside has some sort of bedliner material. Overall: The Jeep drives really good down the highway with GOBS of power! It drops a few drops of oil a week from the engine and t/case (probably a rear main seal) not bad enough for me to worry about it. The hard doors hinges need adjusted (I never put them on). The hardtop is for a CJ7 and doesn't fit right with the YJ family cage front spreader bars (I would try and swap it for a YJ top or just run a soft top. The hardtop has some sort of aftermarket sliding windows that need removed and reinstalled properly ( It was like that when I got it). PLEASE ask all questions before buying the Jeep. I purchased it from the builder, and it wasn't a mud or offroad Jeep, just a play toy. 8378 are the miles since it was built. I'm not sure of the miles since new. The fuel guage doesn't work.

2015 Jeep Renegade brings the cute
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The jig is up, the noose is out, we finally found it: the Renegade that Jeep has made, retrieved for a bounty.
Okay, enough of that. Meet the Renegade - Jeep's cute little compact crossover that makes its official debut here at the Geneva Motor Show. We recently brought you a massive Deep Dive into what makes the Renegade tick, and we're now getting our first live look at the tiny Jeep, live from its coming out party in Switzerland.
With the exception of associate editor Jonathon Ramsey, who doesn't know what he's talking about, we at Autoblog are kind of smitten with the little Jeep - it's a really unique package, featuring details that really make it kind of special (notice that jerry can pattern in the taillights, for example). Jeep will offer the Renegade with either a 1.4-liter turbo-four (from the Fiat 500L) or a 2.4-liter naturally aspirated four (from the Dodge Dart), with either a six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic. There will even be a Trailhawk version with four-wheel drive - properly trail-rated, to boot. The Renegade also features a nifty new My Sky removable roof panel system, giving this little cutie sort of a baby Wrangler feel.
Chrysler recalls 2013 Ram pickups, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Wed, 17 Jul 2013Chrysler's spate of successful products is about to be marred by a trio of recalls. The Pentastar is recalling 51,477 Ram trucks and Jeep SUVs. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, there have been no reported accidents, injuries or deaths related to the affected vehicles.
The largest action covers the Ram 1500, which is seeing 45,961 trucks being recalled. Models built between June 26, 2012 and February 5, 2013 are being recalled due to a potential software issue in the electronic stability control. Apparently, the system can be randomly deactivated upon vehicle startup.
Chrysler is also recalling 4,458 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee models. Covering everything but the SRT models, the potentially defective SUVs were built between January 14 and March 20, 2013. This recall focuses on "premium headlights," which means cars equipped with LED running lights. During the switch from the bright daytime running lamp setting to the low-intensity parking light setting, an electrical spike can cause one of the Jeep's computers to go into a safe mode, turning off the LEDs. This violates Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable
Sun, 10 Aug 2014A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
