When you're not driving it... you'll be dreaming about driving it.

Really nice Jeep.  Well designed for all around fun, suspension has not been messed with so it drives nice, straight and smooth, not rough.  Paint is really nice with wet look clear coat.  Laredo decals are available if you wanted to add them, would add value (I like the clean look).  Nice set up with the powerful 4.0l, Offenhauser 4bbl intake, Edelbrock carb and nice exhaust.  A/C blows cold, cold!  Body lift to accommodate 31" tires.

4.0l I6 rebuilt

Offenhauser dual port intake w. Edelbrock 4bbl carb

Split headers

New mufflers and tail pipe

Rebuilt T5 5 spd, shifts great

New windshield frame and rubber seal

3 coats silver gray acrylic enamel paint with wet look hardener

Rebuilt factory A/C

High amp battery

Smittybuilt side step rails

Almost new Toyo 31x10.5 tires, few hundred miles (less than 2k)

New front brake rotors

New brute chrome dual master cylinder

Working gauges

Does not meet Colorado Emissions.  Being sold as is because it is set up very well and I don't want to put on a cat and EFI system (if that is what you want/need then it is easy do do with stock parts, the 4.0l came with EFI and there are plenty inexpensive used as well as new system options (Howell and Hesco).  Clock does not work.  Clear Auto Check report.  No issues.

Jeep Renegade's development a template for new Fiat Chrysler Auto

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

"We figured we'd take the best of both worlds." - Ralph Gilles.
The international makeup of the 2015 Jeep Renegade will serve as a template for cooperation within the newly formed Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Senior Vice President of Product Design Ralph Gilles said.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.

Jeep idles second shift it hired a month ago for 2014 Cherokee

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

In an unusual move, Chrysler is idling its recently hired second shift of 2014 Jeep Cherokee builders because, Chrysler spokeswoman Jodi Tinson said in a statement, it already has built the "critical number of vehicles we need to stock dealerships once containment is released," Automotive News reports.
After the "critical" 9,430 Cherokees were built, the layoff was enacted so as not to strain the automaker's logistics partners before the Cherokee is actually released. Chrysler says the temporary layoff will last about two weeks, with 500 workers out of work and another 600 reassigned at the Toledo Assembly Complex where the sports utility vehicle was being built. The second-shift workers were hired on August 19.
Chrysler previously insisted that it would release the Cherokee to dealerships by the end of the third quarter, and it initially planned to start selling the SUVs in mid-August. Apparently the Cherokee needed a software fix before hitting showrooms, which is how Chrysler explains why the release schedule is out of whack. We're thinking that this software fix addresses the "powertrain calibration" issue that delayed the first media test drives of the model. According to the Toledo Blade, Chrysler has admitted it is doing "extended quality validation testing" but refused to provide more information.
