1984  JEEP WRANGLER 4X4 CJ-7

This awesome "original steel" FLORIDA Jeep has a one of a kind, custom hand painted, camouflaged paint job (not a vehicle rap). It has a newer "high performance" 258 cubic inch, 6 cylinder motor from “S&J Engines” with approximately 25,000 miles since installation. The motor has a nice sounding performance cam, an aluminum radiator, "headman" headers and a "stay cool" aluminum radiator. This Jeep sounds so good, that many people believe it's a V-8. It's backed by a smooth shifting 5 speed manual transmission with a heavy duty clutch & pressure plate. It runs and drives very well! The 4 wheel drive stuff works fine also!

My CJ-7 has a cool aftermarket steering wheel, a clean dash with extra gauges (safety factor) and nice set of black seats. It has many new parts including the L.E.D tail lights and 10”X15” polished aluminum wheels with 33 inch “BF Goodrich" tires. It handles well with the power steering & power brake options. I recently replaced the windshield, windshield frame along with a new "Best Tops" brand convertible top, rear window, side windows and doors. It has a newer set of relocated mirrors (so you still have mirrors with the doors removed). The floor has been "rhino lined" in a forest green color. The tires still look new with less than 5000 miles. In fact the spare tire is brand new with zero miles. This Jeep has been garage kept and hasn't been abused in the woods like most Jeeps. It can be a daily driver.

The rear seat does have a small tear (see pictures) on the back side, the radio isn't hooked up and the wipers recently quit working? Clean Florida title in hand!

Please call with questions and / or to schedule an appointment. This Jeep is for sale locally and the auction can be cancelled at any time.   "Buy it Now" price? Call me! Thanks, John 386-566-6623

Chrysler defies NHTSA, says it won't recall 2.7M Jeep Grand Cherokee, Liberty models

Wed, 05 Jun 2013

Facing a possible recall totaling around 2.7 million of its most popular SUVs, Chrysler remains insistent that the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty are safe vehicles. This comes on the heels of a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for these two models due to fuel tanks mounted behind the rear axle, which could possibly be ruptured during severe rear-end collisions, leading to an increased risk of fire. In response to the allegations, Chrysler says that it does not agree with NHTSA nor does it plan on recalling either vehicle.
Chrysler said both SUVs "met and exceeded" the requirements for fuel-system integrity, and cooperated fully with NHTSA since the investigation was opened in 2010. While 15 deaths and 46 injuries have been reported from fires caused by rear-end collisions on these models, Chrysler is claiming that the vast majority of incidents cited by NHTSA were "high-energy crashes," including one where a stopped Grand Cherokee was rear-ended by a tractor trailer going 65 miles per hour.
The automaker wraps up by saying "NHTSA seems to be holding Chrysler Group to a new standard for fuel tank integrity that does not exist now and did not exist when the Jeep vehicles were manufactured." Scroll down for Chrysler's official response to NHTSA, but we're pretty sure this isn't the last we've heard on this issue.

Chrysler delays 2014 Jeep Cherokee media launch

Tue, 30 Jul 2013

Chrysler is making the unusual move of delaying the first media drives of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, which were slated to start next week in Seattle. And while something like this is a rare occurrence, and one that most of the Autoblog staff can't recall happening this publicly or so close to the event itself, it won't effect the actual on-sale date of the new Cherokee, which is set to hit showrooms in September.
"Over the last couple of weeks during final quality and durability testing, we have discovered the opportunity to further improve powertrain calibration," Chrysler told Automotive News. This marks the second notable delay in the Cherokee's short life, after production was delayed for roughly a month earlier this summer.
Still, we'd rather Chrysler make sure the Cherokee is ready for primetime before flying media in from around the country. It shows a willingness to get things right the first time, rather than offering media drives and then tweaking the car after the fact.
