I recommend coming to look at it, inspect it, drive it before bidding, I am selling this for a friend of mine as he has never used e-bay to sell a vehicle. It is in my garage and can be inspected and driven if need be. If you have negative or "0" feedback, contact me first or your bid may / will be cancelled. I reserve the right to end auction at any time for any reason even if the reserve has been met. It is for sale locally as well. Payment will be cash on pick up, or bank wire transfer. Cash is easiest, fastest, and prefered method of payment. If bank wire transfer, vehicle will not leave my possesion until I have something in writing from my bank to prove funds have been transfered, this can take up to a week. $300 deposit via pay pal within 24 hours of auction end, balance due within 7 days of auction end. Due to so many scams and non paying bidders, if deposit has not been paid within 24 hours of auction end, it will no longer be available to the winning bidder and may be re-listed or offered to second highest bidder, but the winning bidder is no longer entitled to the vehicle. Sorry about all of this, but there are too many non-paying bidders / scammers and this will not be tolerated. If vehicle is being shipped, it will not leave my possesion until paid for as stated above, buyer is responsible for setting up and paying for shipping, but I will work with shipper best I can to make transaction as smooth as possible. I can be reached thru e-bay for any questions or you can contact me at 606-219-5590. No calls after 10 pm eastern time please. I will be away from computer and may not have any cell service on Wednesday October 9 and part of day Thursday October 10th during the auction. If you can't get in touch with me, leave a message thru e-bay and I will get back to you Thursday evening.

This American Life spends a week selling Jeeps in Long Island
Thu, 19 Dec 2013So you think you know car dealers? Well, maybe you do, but This American Life spent a month at Town and Country Jeep Chrysler Doge Ram in Long Island to give us a behind-the-scenes look (or listen, since it's a radio program) at what it's like to be a car dealer.
Yes, there's a lot of swearing in thick New York accents, frustration, confusion, and generally it's a madhouse at the dealership. But that's understandable when the sales staff has to sell 129 vehicles in October in order to get an $85,000 manufacturer bonus - with several other Jeep dealerships within a 10-mile radius.
The episode, 129 Cars, is worth a listen, but make sure you have 71 minutes to spare if you want to get through it in one sitting. Head here for the unedited version or here for the bleeped version (which is 58 minutes long).
Australian Jeep marketing stunt goes awry [w/video]
Tue, 15 Jul 2014Jeep fans in Australia are none too happy with the off-road brand following a contest that saw ten new Cherokees sold for just $10,000 Australian (about $9,400), roughly a quarter of the vehicle's price Down Under.
The contest, called the "World's Most Remote Dealership," gave Aussies the chance to snag an ultra-affordable Cherokee Longitude (analogous to the US-spec Latitude trim), provided they could get to a secret dealership in the remote wilderness of western New South Wales, near the border with the state of South Australia.
In order to get the exact location of the dealership, though, potential customers needed to download an app, which would release a phone number 9:00 AM AEST on Thursday (7:00 PM EDT, Wednesday night). The first ten people who could call in and prove they could afford to finance $10,000 and get to the remote dealership, were given the location of the remote dealership.
Jeep Twitter account hacked, bad language, poor grammar and some hilarity ensue
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Just a day after Burger King's Twitter account was compromised by "unauthorized users," Jeep's social media feed has been similarly hacked. Both instances of digital incursion share some similarities - the BK hackers changed the company's logo for McDonald's familiar golden arches, saying a sale had occurred, while the Jeep miscreants have replaced Jeep's branding with that of General Motors property Cadillac.
The resulting tweets from the damaged Jeep account have been a pretty brutal, to put it bluntly. Most of the content coming from the hacked account is unpublishable here, using language that is peppered with racial epithets, and poorly worded "shout outs."
In addition to the defamatory tweets themselves, the hackers have significantly altered the layout of the page. Jeep's header image now features a picture of the Cadillac ATS to go along with the Wreath and Crest, some language calling out that car as winning the 2013 North American Car of the Year award, and this gem: "The official Twitter handle for the Jeep(R) - Just Empty Every Pocket, Sold To Cadillac =[" Also, perhaps in an ode to yesterday's Burger King heist, the background image for the page now features a McDonald's-themed donk. The devil's in the details, we guess.
