I have a 1982 Jeep scrambler that I have owned for about 6 years and I have done or had done a good bit of work done.  This is my first time selling a vehicle on ebay so if I neglect to mention something or am not clear please send me an email , hogdancer at aol dot com, with any questions or comments and I will do my best to answer.

I had it painted about a year ago and before the paint was applied all rust spots were ground out and repaired and the floor on the drivers side where there was some rust was cut out and repaired before being painted.
Other things I have done are. replace the seats and fuel tank, new valve cover, new distributor and wires, new carbeurator , new front and rear bumper.  I also had a 3 inch lift added. Both front locking hubs were replaced with new hubs.
The jeep has full metal doors and a hard top, I don't have a picture of the top but will try and get one and post it, it's painted black.
not long after having it painted a light on a stand fell over and scratched the front left fender, I will include a close up picture. There is a CD player in the console between the seats but it is not hooked up to the antenna so radio does not work.
The Jeep has always run well and been kept inside, either in my garage or barn. Anything that has not worked or broken I have repaired right away as I hate to have something not work as it should. I never rode it hard or had it in the mud, guess I'm getting too old for that.
I don't know anything about shipping a vehicle so it will be a local pickup only and I will need a deposit of $500 within 3 days of auction close and certified funds within a week of auction close. I will work with the buyer as best I can to make a smooth and easy transaction.
please look at the pictures carefully and if you need something further just ask.

Another crazy custom Jeep Wrangler spotted in Morocco

Sun, 03 Mar 2013

What in the world is the vehicle you see above? Well, um... yeah. We have no idea. According to the video description from YouTube, however, it's a modified Jeep Wrangler, and it comes from the same person who created the equally insane side-by-side merged Wrangler you saw here.
We can clearly make out the Wrangler-shaped passenger compartment up top, but as for the other bits and pieces that make up this rather amazing machine, your guess is as good as ours. At the very least, it seems to us that the car's wheelbase has been given a significant stretch, and the grille may have come from an International LoneStar Harley-Davidson Special Edition semi truck.
What other components are sourced from the massive International hauler? No idea. We suggest you check out the video below and draw your own conclusions. Oh, and if you've got any other ideas, feel free to let us know in the Comments.

Maserati Levante crossover not Jeep based after all?

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

Maserati has been teasing its crossover project since 2011, which is when it first showed off the Kubang concept (pictured above). Still, the production version, rumored to be called the Levante, remains a complete mystery. The CUV was first rumored to borrow the platform from the Jeep Grand Cherokee, but new rumors indicate that the Italian, luxury crossover might actually take the underpinnings from the Quattroporte and Ghibli.
In a brief interview, Maserati CEO Harald Wester told CNN Money that the Levante wouldn't use Jeep's platform. Motor Trend spoke with an unnamed Maserati engineer who confirmed the rumor. Officially, the company says that no decision has been made.
We can add this to another long list of rumors about the Italian CUV. It was originally supposed to be built at Chrysler's Jefferson North assembly plant in Detroit. Then, plans were changed to build it in Italy.

Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep

Tue, 17 Dec 2013

In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.
