THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL VEHICLE.  I HAVE DRIVEN IT MANY A MILE.  I LOVE IT.  THE VEHICLE LOOKS AND DRIVES LIKE IT IS ALMOST NEW.  THERE IS ONE BUTTON MISSING ON THE POWER SEAT.  BUT, I DO HAVE THE BUTTON.  THE LEATHER SEATS WERE REPLACED A WHILE BACK.  LEFT LEATHER SEAT HAS COME UNDONE FROM THE BACK AND NEEDS TO BE RETUCKED.  HOWEVER, THE SEATS LOOK GREAT.  THE TIRES HAVE NORMAL WEAR, BUT STILL HAVE LOTS OF MILES ON THEM.  THE TOP IS ALMOST LIKE NEW.  THE TOP GOES UP AND DOWN WITH NO PROBLEMS.  ALL WINDOWS WORK.  THE TRANMISSION WORKS GREAT.  THE ENGINE DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.  RADIO WORKS GOOD.  AIRCONDITION WORKS.  I WOULD DRIVE THIS VEHICLE ANY WHERE.  THERE IS NORMAL WEAR ON THE PAINT, BUT IT LOOKS GREAT.  THERE MAYBE SOME SCRATCHES, BUT THEY ARE NOT REAL VISABLE.    SO BID WITH CONFINDENCE.

THE VEHICLE IS BEING SOLD IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA.  THEREFORE, IF YOU LIVE IN GEORGIA A TITLE TAX OF $507 WILL BE ADDED TO WHATEVER YOUR WINNING BID IS.  THIS IS ONLY IF YOU LIVE IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA.  THERE WILL BE NO OTHER FEES ADDED TO THE WINNING BID.  THIS MEANS IF YOU LIVE IN ANY OTHER STATE THERE WILL BE NOTHING ADDED TO YOU WINNING BID.

Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.

Petrolicious profiles one of the final Jaguar E-Types

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

There's no question that David Paddison has got a very lovely 1974 Jaguar E-Type convertible. The rubber bumpers of this late E-Type may distract ever so slightly from the purity of the lines, but that doesn't mean we're still not completely jealous of the latest Petrolicious subject car.
As usual, the team of vintage car videographers has done a fine job capturing a small moment of gear-headness with this latest installment - The Last of the Breed. We do wonder why we don't get to hear a little bit more of that famed Jaguar V12 rumble, however. There's just a whiff of engine and exhaust sound in the middle of the video, while the rest of the piece sounds like it was scored by Amy Grant's rhythm guitarist. See for yourself, below.

This Jaguar E-Type is an even longer-legged feline

Tue, 12 Nov 2013

Paul Branstad loves the shape and purity of the Series 1 Jaguar E-Type, produced from 1961 to 1968, but appreciates the longer length of the Series 3 V12 model, which affords occupants a more comfortable space in which to enjoy long trips. So when Branstad brought his damaged left-hand-drive 1968 roadster from its home in the US to Classic Motor Cars in the UK for a restoration, he had a special request: restore his car, but make it a bit longer.
"This is something that we have never done before. Our client wanted the interior leg room of a Series 3 V12 E-Type but the aesthetics of a Series 1 car," says Nick Goldthorp, managing director of CMC.
For the restoration, CMC added 4.5 inches of length to the floor pan of Branstad's E-Type to create the extra legroom. Goldthorp relates, "The V12 was actually nine inches longer than a Series 1 but a lot of the additional room was behind the seats as storage and was not required on our project." That's because CMC also built a trailer out of two E-Type rear ends that attaches to a custom-made removable tow hitch.
