Thank you for viewing this lovely 1989 Jaguar XJS Convertible in Signal Red. Forgive me for my lackluster pictures, this car can surely be photographed better. I hadn't anticipate selling so if you would like to view/drive please contact me to make an appointment. My loss is your gain. Legitimate sale I am traveling away for work for several months. Currently stored in covered Garage.

This XJS, originally a Florida car, has driven only 3k miles a year since new, verified by carfax. Just serviced approximately 2 weeks ago by reputable import auto shop, all receipts since my ownership included. Have driven almost 800 miles this month and it has been the ultimate grand tourer. This is a true drivers car. Owners manual included along with original green booklet and touch up paint. Original radio is also included as an aftermarket one was installed.

No warning lights illuminated on panel and all lights work.
Car registered and NH state inspected until November 2015.
Ready to go for new driver.

Exterior has had a very professionally and extremely well done re-paint In the original "Signal Red" paint, so it appears new. For even the most particular of observer, each vin tag on every panel is still visible and matching numbers. You will be hard pressed to tell that it was repainted. No rock chips or fading like others of this year. This car was originally Signal Red with Barley from the factory and still remains so.

Interior Barley tan conolly leather in good original condition. Some cracks and fading on some of the door wood cappings. The drivers seat has a small rip in seam of upper part of Connolly that can be easily repaired. Temp/Oil pressure gauge intermittent from a loose connection somewhere. Does not overheat or run hot.

Need to sell. Make me an offer. This is an extremely lovely driving/looking Jaguar that will only appreciate in value in addition to being a fun summer toy. Willing to meet at closest airport (MHT) Manchester, NH or possibly (BOS) Boston if you wish to drive home.

Jaguar Land Rover puts the freeze on wounded soldier-athletes [w/video]

Mon, 21 Jul 2014

For athletes, the cold is often a powerful ally in treating injures, with RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) a popular means of treating muscle pulls, bruising and other common forms of discomfort. Did you know, though, that frosty temps are also popular tools for simply recovering from a rough training session?
Well, we're guessing Jaguar Land Rover knew that, as the British company was kind enough to loan out its climactic testing chamber to Jaco van Gass and Luke Darlington, a pair of veterans wounded in their service to Queen and Country. Van Gass, a former private in the Royal Army, and Darlington, a Royal Marine, are attempting to earn a spot on the British Armed Forces cycling team for the upcoming Invictus Games.
The Games, inspired by the Warrior Games held in the United States, are a sporting competition reserved for injured servicemen and women, either active duty or veterans, and is slated to take place from September 10 to 14 in London's former Olympic venues. Van Gass lost his left arm below the elbow after getting hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (he also suffered from a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, severe shrapnel and blast wounds, a broken tibia and a fractured knee). Darlington, meanwhile, suffered a traumatic brain injury during action in Afghanistan, and he now suffers from weakness in his right side and cognitive issues.

Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).

Jaguar hints at what might become of XK after F-Type's arrival

Wed, 02 Jan 2013

Jaguar may move the company's XK further upmarket following the introduction of its forthcoming F-Type. The newcomer to the range easily shoulders the burden of carrying the Jaguar sportscar mantle, freeing up the XK to evolve in another direction. While speaking with Autocar, Jaguar Design Director Ian Callum said there's an opportunity to grow the grand tourer both in size and luxury.
Whether that means the vehicle will retain its two-plus-two seating configuration or swell to offer buyers even more space remains to be seen. Either way, the future will likely see the XK soften its claws moving forward. And that's no bad thing. Jaguar has a long history of building luxurious grand tourers more content to soak up miles of highway than bounce from apex to apex.
What else is in store for the brand? Callum seems to have kept his cards close to his chest, refusing to acknowledge ongoing rumors of a Jaguar crossover beyond saying the brand "had to take notice" of the popularity of the luxury SUV market.
