2005 Jaguar Xj Super V8 Fast Luxury. Rare & Beautiful Every Option-stunning! on 2040-cars

Year:2005 Mileage:136000
Location:

Verona, Wisconsin, United States

I bought this remarkable Super V8 new for $93,000 and have loved every minute of owning her. You simply will not find another Super V8 this beautiful. The 390HP supercharged engine really fires the lightened aluminum body off the line. It is a large luxury sedan, it drives like a much smaller sports car.

While you're getting ogled as a driver, your rear seat passengers will enjoy limousine-like luxury. The rear seats recline and are heated with independent temperature controls. There is a rear console for them to control the stereo, DVD system and gaming input. The right rear seat can even control the front passenger seat. Mom will want you to turn this feature off the first time the kids start messing with her seat. The switch to turn off that feature is on the drivers arm rest. The folding rear trays are like really nice airplane trays-adorned with the beautiful black walnut burl wood. Those rear seat guests or kids will feel like celebrities cruising in this super car as you raise the electronically controlled rear shade. They can pull up the rear side window shades too.

Super V8's are rare as they were expensive and hard to find. I get 24mpg on the highway and 20mpg general purpose miles. I have meticulously maintained my car in a heated garage while I drive her on my 50 mile daily commute. She is most fun on extended road trips however. Despite her mileage, she has many, many good miles and years in her. Your friends will think you paid a ton more than you'll have to to own this wonderful car. There is nothing wrong with her at all. It's like shoes, women and underwear...sometimes you just need a change (sorry about the women comment, honey. Just trying to be funny).

I have this car for sale locally. You can look at, inspect and test drive near Madison, WI before bidding but please bid if you're interested or it may sell locally from under your feet and you'll be seriously sorry to have missed out on this exceptional luxury sports sedan.

Jaguar Land Rover opens first overseas factory in China

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Anyone who's a car fan knows that Jaguar and Land Rover cars and trucks all come from the UK. And while we don't doubt that will remain true for the most part, it won't be an absolute truth for long, as the British automaker has just opened its first factory overseas.
Its new plant in Changshu, China, is the result of a $1.8-billion joint venture between JLR and local automaker Chery. It covers some 4.3-million square feet and will, once at peak capacity, produce 130,000 units specifically for the Chinese market, where JLR sells over 100,000 vehicles each year to make it the company's single largest market worldwide.
Production at what's officially known as the Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company will start with the Evoque, of which one in five globally are currently sold in China. Production will eventually encompass three models. We already know that the Discovery Sport will be next, but the third model line has yet to be announced. JLR has confirmed, however, that the Changshu plant will produce unique models and derivatives specifically for the Chinese market, so we wouldn't be surprised to see a long-wheelbase version of the forthcoming XE or next-generation XF assembled there to satisfy local tastes.

Jaguar bringing all-wheel-drive F-Type to LA Auto Show [w/video]

Thu, 06 Nov 2014

Jaguar's big splash at last year's Los Angeles Auto Show was showing off the slinky F-Type Coupe; perhaps one of the loveliest car shapes on the road today. This year the company won't have a show-stopping new design to offer, but the news that all-wheel drive is coming to the F-Type range is, nevertheless, pretty spectacular.
Mixed in with news about a technical partnership between Jaguar and the Bloodhound SSC World Land Speed Record program, the British brand announced this morning that it will show the first AWD F-Type Coupe at the 2014 LA show later this month.
Jaguar tells us that the sure-footed cat, in AWD F-Type R Coupe form, will run from 0-60 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds, with a limited top speed of 186 mph.

Jaguar's XFR-S Sportbrake looks to be one hot kinschlepper

Tue, 23 Jul 2013

This is the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake, which is too cool for North American sale (the Sportbrake, not the XFR-S sedan, which we're getting soon). Like the XFR-S four-door, it has a 5.0-liter, supercharged V8 pumping out around 550 horsepower.
Our spy photographer's x-ray vision is saying that a ZF eight-speed automatic will be the gearbox of choice for the XFR-S wagon, which fits with the sedan, as well. The Sportbrake also has the usual high-performance touches, with huge air intakes in the front fascia, big wheels wrapped in low-profile tires, a dropped suspension and a rear end that's wearing a diffuser and a pair of meaty, quad exhausts. We're happy to see that the XFR-S Sedan's rear spoiler - or some iteration thereof - isn't here to mangle the Sportbrake's beautiful shape.
Where the this super-fast hauler will debut remains a question. There's virtually zero chance of it arriving at an American auto show (although we do endorse that, and any other decision that brings this wagon to our shores), which likely means it'll be in Europe. The Frankfurt Motor Show and Geneva Motor Show seem like the leading contenders, but we'll just have to wait and see.
