This is the Classic Series III Jaguar XJ6. The body styling is timeless, and has yet to be duplicated in the current models. I purchased this vehicle in 2011 at 99K miles, and am the fourth owner. At that time I invested in some extensive restoration, most of which is still holding up well. Since then I have put less than 10K miles on the vehicle, for a total of 107,135. The body is in very good condition, there are no serious dents/dings. There are a few very small scuffs on the rear passenger door. As can be seen in the photos, the paint is in good condition, however this model jaguar is not impervious to the elements. The hinge on the driver's door is broken. There are a few areas of rust. The interior is in very good condition, and although the wood in the interior is twenty five years old it is still in very good condition. The leather upholstery is mostly fine, but the stitching needs repair in some areas. The sunroof rubber seal and motor are in need of repair. There is a minor issue with the A/C. The tires are quite new with less than 1000 miles on them. The brakes were serviced less than 9000 miles ago; this is a key item as the rear differential must be dismounted to replace the rear brakes. Mechanically this vehicle is sound. It has always passed the smog test with flying colors.

Properly restored a vehicle of this type is still quite valuable. I however do not have the time to continue the restoration. It is with some regret that I am offering this Jaguar for sale. I hope that someone who can get it back into proper shape will be looking at this.

Thanks for looking.

First Ride: 2014 Jaguar F-Type [w/video]

Shotgun In Coventry's First Sports Car In Decades
For every car, there is a passionate group of fans who love it, and the F-Type already has a few million rabid followers. These are fabulous things, sports cars, and we're very happy that Jaguar is making one again. Finally. (Before you start relishing the prospect of correcting us, the XK is really a grand tourer, not a sports car.)
The main question, however, will be whether someone in a position to buy a lifestyle-enhancing yet impractical F-Type will do so in the face of more established competitors from Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW. The last time Jaguar built a true two-seater sports car (1974 E-Type; the last of the XJ220 limited run in 1994 doesn't count in this league), most of today's new buyers were too young or may not yet have been born. At any rate, the F-Type has a lot of work to do for the brand beyond just selling itself.

Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.

Are you the soon-to-be-revealed Jaguar CUV concept?

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Following the teaser of the Jaguar CX-17 Concept released last weekend, the first official image of the Jaguar crossover concept appears to have hit the Internet ahead of its introduction at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Assuming this is the real deal, the tall, upright front end removes any doubt that this is anything but a preview for the upcoming Jaguar crossover, which will likely be called either the XQ or the Q-Series. Reports suggest that Jag's first-ever CUV is likely to go into production in 2016, and it will bring with it the option for a Jaguar-developed four-cylinder engine replacing the current mills still sourced from former parent Ford.
