2011 Jaguar Xj on 2040-cars
Decatur, Mississippi, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : amelia.mandella@vfemail.net .
Car has panoramic roof, heated steering wheel, heated and cooled front and rear seats, massage seats in the front,
cruise control, active high beam headlights, rear fog lights, blue tooth, Bowers and Wilkins audio, rear climate
control, power trunk, blue ambient lighting, suede headliner, Sirius radio, dual power seats, power folding
mirrors, blind spot monitoring, and more. Not listing all the "standard" things that the car has such as power
windows, locks, A/C, etc....
This car has not been my daily driver. It has been a weekend cruiser so it has been babied and garaged the whole
time I have had it. As previously stated, this has been one of my favorite cars, but I just don't drive it that
much, so there is no point in letting it just sit in my garage. It's time to let someone else enjoy it. I just
recently had the car serviced (even though it wasn't due), put a new battery in it, and got a few nit picky things
fixed, such as a rear ash tray that the lid would stick. So there are no issues with the car that I am aware of.
I have included a picture of the front driver's side wheel, as it does have some curb rash. The wheel was like
that when I purchased the car, and I just never got it repaired. Nothing wrong with the rim, just a cosmetic
blemish. Car has good tread on the tires.
I have an extended 100,000 mile powertrain warranty that is fully transferable (at least that what I was told by
the warranty company). There about 97,000 miles left on the warranty.

Jaguar takes bite out of Mercedes' Magic Body Control chicken ad
Tue, 17 Dec 2013We were quite impressed by Mercedes-Benz when it aired its Magic Body Control commercial, starring a group suitably funky chickens demonstrating their ability to jive to Diana Ross and the Supremes. Now, Jaguar has taken the opportunity to poke some fun at its German rival, releasing its own take on the Magic Body Control spot, and um, there's a big cat involved.
You'll really want to take a look at this video, which is just another sign that in terms of clever ads, Jaguar is doing quite well. We aren't sure if "Jaguar vs. Chicken" will make it onto TV any time soon, but it's still fun to see the British brand take the mickey out of Mercedes - it's rare to see automakers go after each other so bluntly in their marketing efforts. Scroll down to watch the video (we've also included a bonus video, Jag's recent "Cat In A Box" spot).
Jaguar opens new engine plant in the UK
Thu, 30 Oct 2014The heads of Jaguar Land Rover are having a busy couple of weeks opening factories. Just days after inaugurating the company's first overseas plant in China, the automaker's new Engine Manufacturing Center in the UK is being inaugurated, as well. The plant near Wolverhampton, England, marks the first time in decades that JLR is building its own powerplants in-house. Further signaling the importance of this launch for the business, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip were on hand and even tweeted about it.
The factory's first major project is to build JLR's latest Ingenium four-cylinders, starting with the 2.0-liter diesel version. "Our new Engine Manufacturing Centre is an important step in advancing the competitiveness and capability of the UK automotive sector. The production of in-house engines will support the expansion of the UK supply chain providing critical mass for inward investment," said Trevor Leeks, plant operations director in the automaker's announcement.
Opening the doors to the Engine Manufacturing Center has been years in the making for JLR. The plant was first announced in September 2011 and broke ground in June 2012. Building it cost the company 500 million pounds ($800 million) and created 1,400 new jobs. Of course, being a state-of-the-art factory, considerations were made to make the place as energy efficient as possible. That meant installing the UK's largest solar array with 21,000 panels to produce about 30 percent of the site's electricity needs.
Jaguar C-X17 crossover concept revealed, hides new lightweight aluminum architecture
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Just as Jaguar teased earlier this month, the luxury marque is debuting its first-ever sports crossover concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, which begins this week. In addition to previewing what a soft-roading Jag might look like, the C-X17 concept also showcases the brand's new advanced unibody aluminum architecture, which it calls the future of its brand.
The British automaker touts the new technical foundation as high-strength, lightweight and extremely stiff, and notes that it incorporates sustainable technologies such as a high-strength alloy made from recycled raw material. The architecture's flexibility means Jaguar will be able to simultaneously manufacture several vehicles on the same production line - a change that will ultimately help the automaker grow its product portfolio.
Indeed, if the C-X17 concept sees production, it would represent a completely new direction for Jaguar, which has previously focused on luxury sedans and sports cars. However, while Jaguar says a range of future models will be built using the new architecture, it hasn't yet mentioned a crossover. The first model to be built on the new underpinnings will launch globally in 2015, and it's - you guessed it - a premium midsize sedan.
