RARE Jaguar restoration project in progress! 1967 S-type 3.4L RHD (Right Hand Drive) for sale.

ONLY about 10,000 were ever built, the 3.4 Liter version was NEVER sold in the USA.

I bought this car in Wales, UK in 2008. I began restoring at the dealer I purchased it from. I was told the car was a "barn find" and stored for over 20 years. Between both restoration & parts I have on hand my investment is north of $22,000.

I'm selling because my job is sending me to Japan.

A link for an overview of this unique car: http://www.car-nection.com/jagbase/jagstype.htm

The following was done in Wales:
  • Complete under body rebuilt (Front & Rear independent suspension)including rust proofing.
  • Brake vacuum tank replaced
  • Fuel tanks were pulled pressure tested and resealed
  • New Spark Plugs & Wires (of course)
  • Brand New Stainless Steel exhaust
  • The rear corner wings behind the wheel arches replaced (in the Pics the grey sections)
  • The transmission fully rebuilt (done in San Diego - 2010)
  • 5 New tyres (tires; if your American)
  • The carburetor was rebuilt with-in the last year
List of items I have that go along with the car:
    • Set of two rear Spline Hubs (If you choose to replace with Spoke wheels)
    • Set of refinished interior wood
    • Wind up/down Radio antenna (I think it's so cool)
    • New Wing mirrors
    • Various rubber seals (windscreens, some of the windows)
    • One used spoke wheel (I hoped to replace the original Disk wheels)
    • New leaper for the bonnet (hood)
    • New boot (trunk) lid badges, S-Type & 3.4L
    • New 15" wood Steering Wheel
I'm sure there is more I'm forgetting about. So please don't hesitate to ask.

Being sold "as is" No warranty included. I'm offering this car on another site so I may pull this ad at anytime.

Jaguar 3 Series-fighter to spawn coupe, wagon

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

With its sights set on the BMW 3 Series, Jaguar could be planning a full range of models for its upcoming entry-level car - possibly called the XS. We've already seen spy shots of the four-door version of this all-aluminum baby Jag, but according to Auto Express, the automaker will also offer the car in coupe and wagon variants.
The XS sedan should hit the market in 2015, and the coupe and wagon models are expected soon after that. Speaking with Jag's global brand director Adrian Hallmark, AE says that the XS will be focused on styling with a design similar to the recently introduced C-X17 crossover concept. Hallmark also said that the addition of the XS lineup could help Jaguar double its sales, which were at 357,773 global units in 2012. Head on over to Auto Express for some speculative renderings of the XS coupe and wagon.

Latest Jaguar XJ snaps show old versus new

Wed, 19 Mar 2014

It is a rare day when automakers line up their current models and test cars right next to each other and allow us to compare them directly. However, Jaguar ending up doing just that during cold weather testing of the face lifted XJ, providing the perfect chance to see just what the company is changing.
We spotted the refreshed XJ testing last year, and it hasn't evolved much since then. The updated model sports clear turn signals and a slightly revised front air dam. The modifications are similarly minor at the rear. The bumper appears to dip down slightly further on the new sedan. Thankfully, those gorgeous taillights are still draped over the back of the car. The exhaust outlets have switched to oval shapes rather than the current parallelograms. This alteration could just be chalked up to it being a test car, but the previous tester we saw had a similar design. It's possible that the camouflage could be hiding other revisions, but don't expect anything radical from the facelift.
Our previous report indicated that Jaguar is also planning some interior upgrades with new infotainment and ambient lighting. The company seems to feel that there isn't a point in messing with the XJ's design just yet, since all of the changes we see here are very subtle. No problems, here - to our eyes, the big Jag is still one of the prettier sedans on the road today.

Jaguar XJ220 hooned remotely by a kid

Sat, 31 Aug 2013

The Tax the Rich crew has a knack for indulging in automotive fantasies and capturing it all on video, such as a tug-of-war battle between two Ferrari F50s, drifting a Ferrari Enzo on gravel roads and even powersliding a Rolls-Royce Phantom on a field of wet grass. This latest video features a Jaguar XJ220 and a kid with an iPad, who somehow is able to control the old supercar with the Apple product.
No, there's no app for that (yet), and we lied - the boy isn't actually controlling the car - but it sure is nice to see the XJ220 in all its turbocharged, six-cylinder glory doing donuts and sliding across a grassy field. It jolts us to see the old Jaguar - capable of 217 miles per hour and once described by Jeremy Clarkson as having no brakes and massive turbo lag - thrown about like a rally car, but then we never imagined anybody would abuse a Rolls-Royce like that either. We'll continue to leave the high-stakes antics to Tax the Rich - we're just glad somebody had the guts to behave so badly in such a valuable machine. What else were they made for?
Be sure to check out the video below, if you have a pulse.
