2002 Jaguar S-type Sport Sedan 4 Door/ Low Low Miles on 2040-cars
Asheville, North Carolina, United States
For sale is my 2002 Jaguar S-type sedan. I am the second owner, the original owner bought it new and had it for 11 years putting on 58,769 original miles. I have owned the vehicle for 1 year and have not quite put on 2000 miles. I have replaced the battery, had the interior headliner replaced with new and have had this car checked out from soup to nuts at the local Jaguar dealership. It is amazingly clean both in and out. Tires and all are in great shape. I am a non smoker and I do not detect any smell of tobacco in the interior. I will say that I am not accustomed to the smell of leather seats- this is a new experience for me. Seats are tan leather and carpet is black. There are a lot of features on the car that I am simply not aware of- only just found out there was a CD changer in the trunk. The dashboard is the wood panel model. This car is a dream on the open road and you really have to watch your speed as it cruises so smoothly. I am not the best photographer- but there are no dents or damage being hidden from the pictures. I can always take new ones and send upon request. Please ask me any questions and if you would like- I will provide information on the service center I use. CarFax report available. No accident history- no major repair history. |

Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
This mule is the first evidence Jaguar is working on a 3 Series fighter
Fri, 01 Mar 2013Rumors of an entry-level, BMW 3 Series-fighting Jaguar sedan have been floating around for quite some time, but thanks to our intrepid spy photographers, we now have visible proof that such a model is, in fact, in the works.
Despite this tester's XF fittings, it's clear that what lies beneath is an entirely different beast. The doors have been shortened, roofline adjusted, rear deck lopped off and exhaust replaced, giving us a better idea of the new sedan's smaller dimensions and details. The new Jag, which may be dubbed "XS," is expected to ride on Jaguar's PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) platform, touting weight-saving materials that should do a lot to keep overall heft to a minimum. Both turbocharged four- and supercharged six-cylinder powertrains are expected to be on tap.
Codenamed X760, the new small sedan will reportedly hit the market in 2015. Earlier reports have indicated that a new crossover - Jag's first ever - riding on the same platform will arrive shortly thereafter, so that suggests that the platform will be fitted with all-wheel drive as well.
2014 Jaguar XJL AWD 3.0
Wed, 25 Jun 2014A bit of British nobility floods the senses when piloting the 2014 Jaguar XJ. It's an emotional rush, a perception based on physical surroundings that influence the mind in much the same manner that a stein of pilsner tastes best when consumed in a German beer garden and no sand is softer than that found on a warm Caribbean beach. Jaguar has been assembling cars for nearly 100 years, and few automakers are as equally adept at capturing aristocracy and timelessness within the rich cabins of their luxury offerings.
Jaguar would have no concern if it were the only game in town, but that's far from the truth. The premium full-size luxury segment, which includes vehicles hovering just under or at the six-figure mark, is a contentious grouping that includes the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Lexus LS, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Porsche Panamera. Each of those brings its own game to the battle, and none are easy to dismiss.
To better understand the British perspective and evaluate its latest offering on a land without royalty, I recently spent a week with a long-wheelbase, all-wheel-drive Jaguar XJ in Southern California.
