I've owned this car for several years and it breaks my heart, but I have to sell it. It runs well and I think it could be a presentable drive with a little more work. These cars are known for their rust, but this one is very very solid having lived most of its life in the high desert. It has one small spot at the bottom of the passenger side fender. (I can take a picture) All the rest of the underside looks really clean. Original 3.8 motor. Clean title in my name.
The car is complete and I have bought a pair of tail lights for it that are in great shape as well as a driver mirror. The fuel pumps and carburetors have been professionally rebuilt, as well as the master brake cylinder. The fuel filter, ignition coil, cap, rotor, plugs and wires have all been replaced. I have a spare set of points and a condenser for it as well. Car starts up quickly and runs pretty smoothly. Car also shifts into gear well and seems to want to drive (doesn't stall out or struggle to run). All the glass is clear and un cracked. bench seat leather interior is in presentable shape overall. There are a few cracks on the top part of the back seat and some wear on the front one. Steering wheel is in nice shape with the original leather wrap. Most electrics work (Except for fuel gauge, but the tanks are out of the car), has a headlight out. Front two tires have been replaced, all hold air well (tubes are ok) and are uncracked (back to are the original style tires), there is a spare rim as well, but it will need a tube and tire. Suspension and steering seem like they are in good shape. If you like the car but want the body work done, i was thinking about taking it to a shop to have the work done, but I'd want a little more for the car after that was taken care of. IF you really like the car, email me and we can work something out.
In my opinion, to make it a good driver it needs:
Exhaust will need some attention
Transmission pan leaks a little (Have the gasket for it)
Valve covers leak slightly
Wood will need to be redone (have all the pieces, should you need patterns)
Weatherstripping for doors as well as front and rear windscreens need to be replaced
Rotors need to be turned
Gas tanks could be refurbished, but they might be ok as is
Minor damage on corner repaired, minor surface rust on roof taken care of and car primered.

2016 Jaguar XE is ready to stalk the competition
Mon, 08 Sep 2014
The XE wears some of the best styling elements from Jaguar's current litter.
Big sedans and sports cars. Jaguar has been known for those two things since the company's name was birthed in 1945. Stylish saloons like the Mark 2 and performance machines like the E-Type make up the brand's heritage, but the compact sedan market is one where the British marque has lacked great product.
Are you the Jaguar F-Type Coupe R-S?
Fri, 23 Aug 2013It's no secret that Jaguar is working on a fixed-roof version of the F-Type roadster, but now it looks like it's also developing a high-performance model for said coupe. Captured sharpening its claws at the Nürburgring, this F-Type Coupe prototype could very well be an R-S or even a more track-ready R-S GT variant.
Our biggest clue suggesting the latter are its massive brake rotors with bright-yellow calipers - similar pieces are also found on the recently introduced XKR-S GT. This would make sense, since a report in May said that Jaguar is looking to create a full line of R-S GT models in a similar fashion as the Mercedes-Benz AMG Black Series. Missing from this prototype, though, are the telltale aero add-ons we seen on the XKR-S GT - go-faster bits like the latter's front fascia winglets and rear wing, though this model is obviously still being developed. Regardless of what this new grippier, quicker kitty is called, we say "Yes, please."
2014 Jaguar XJL AWD 3.0
Wed, 25 Jun 2014A bit of British nobility floods the senses when piloting the 2014 Jaguar XJ. It's an emotional rush, a perception based on physical surroundings that influence the mind in much the same manner that a stein of pilsner tastes best when consumed in a German beer garden and no sand is softer than that found on a warm Caribbean beach. Jaguar has been assembling cars for nearly 100 years, and few automakers are as equally adept at capturing aristocracy and timelessness within the rich cabins of their luxury offerings.
Jaguar would have no concern if it were the only game in town, but that's far from the truth. The premium full-size luxury segment, which includes vehicles hovering just under or at the six-figure mark, is a contentious grouping that includes the Audi A8, BMW 7 Series, Lexus LS, Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Porsche Panamera. Each of those brings its own game to the battle, and none are easy to dismiss.
To better understand the British perspective and evaluate its latest offering on a land without royalty, I recently spent a week with a long-wheelbase, all-wheel-drive Jaguar XJ in Southern California.
