Clean low miles Carfax record & title in hand.  Service records & maintenance history available. I would ignore the free Autocheck report since it is inaccurate, incomplete & incorrect data that does not match this car.  I have the paid for Car fax report ready for any potential buyer with correct owner history, all maintenance & true reported odometer unlike the incorrect Autocheck.

2005 Jaguar S Type Sport 4.2 V8. British euro sedan at a great price. Gets compliments frequently. Well taken care of. Very nice Radiance Red metallic paint which looks great in the sun. Strong 4.2 V8 engine paired with the very impressive BMW made ZF 6 speed smart automatic transmission with manual gear selection. 05 model so comes with upgraded body style from previous years and lightweight aluminum hood. This body style is sleeker and cleaner than the previous bulky lines in earlier models.  Also has the modern looking dash cluster instead of the previous models 90s looking gauges.  Sport package includes 18inch wheels, wider tires, larger brakes, sport specific suspension, upgraded front seats. Also have almost every option available: sunroof, traction/stability control, rain sensing wiper, HID headlights (light lens covers are clear too and not fogged up or faded), GPS navigation, touch screen display, rear parking assist, Alpine sound system, dual climate and front/side/head air bags too. Also has very rarely seen real genuine Aluminum interior trim package instead of usual wood common to all Jags. This deletes all the wood and replaces it with some a great looking real aluminum trim, full leather wraps the steering and changes the shifter knob too.  Also has two tone dove/granite colored perforated leather seats and trim everywhere inside too. Tires where replaced about a year ago along with brake pads front and rear. Has brand new service belt, thermostat housing/gaskets/thermostat/temp sensor, fuel filter, new battery, recent coolant flush, recent oil change and most importantly has new transmission filter/pan/seal along with new electrical sensor sleeve, upgraded pan bolts and fluid service. If you don't buy my car do yourself a favor and ensure the Jag or BMW you do has had trans service done before 80K. Great option over the more expensive R model both insurance wise and maintenance/parts!  This model is lighter than the R and gets better gas mileage too.  Also consider that even though R models make more power that they dont have limited slip rear ends to properly use it, so anything more than this cars N/A V8 is not needed by many.  I have always garaged it, 3 sets of key fobs, looks & drives great.

Is the Jaguar XFR-S really worth $17k more than the XFR? [w/poll]

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

Adding performance to a car is rarely cheap - whether you're looking to do it yourself or rely on the factory to do it for you. In the case of the new Jaguar XFR-S, the cost differential over an already-impressive (and somewhat expensive) XFR is a stout $16,800. Auto Express recently got a hold of both cars to see whether that price pays off on the track.
For that price, Jaguar gives the XFR-S an extra 40 horsepower and 41 pound-feet of torque - for a total of 550 hp and 502 lb-ft - to go with a stiffer suspension, beefed-up differential and, of course, meaner styling. We don't want to ruin the results of the AE video, but right off the bat, the host says that you can feel the extra power of the XFR-S, but that it's not a "night-and-day difference."
Scroll down to see what happens when two high-powered Jags go head-to-head on a track. And then be sure to let us know whether or not you think the added money is worth it for the XFR-S in the completely informal poll below.

Jaguar F-Type Coupe spotted testing

Thu, 09 May 2013

The automotive world has been hot on fire with the Jaguar F-Type of late. We're still recovering from the excitement of driving Jaguar's new sports car for the first time, and recently we had a predictive look at a coupe version. As it turns out, those 'patent sketches' were just a warm up for the real deal F-Type Coupe, as this brand new set of spy images proves out.
Word from our shooter is that security around the F coupe was and is really tight. The photographer had to hide in the cargo area of his clandestine SUV, just to catch these few, not-perfectly-clear images (that odd color your see is window tint). Still, the photos are good enough to see that the rakish silhouette of the hardtop is going to do justice to the convertible. In fact, the new top seems to flow quite perfectly into the car's rear haunches.
Expect that the F-Type Coupe will share an engine lineup with the roadster, meaning both a naturally aspirated and a supercharged V6, as well as a V8 option. Hot R and R-S versions of the Jaguar coupe are a virtual lock, too, though how far down the product pipeline they are is unclear.

Jaguar may join the FWD, small-car parade

Tue, 13 Aug 2013

Was it right for Chevrolet to detune the 1975 Corvette's base engine to 165 horsepower? Was Aston Martin wrong to make the Toyota iQ-based Cygnet? Is BMW crazy to be testing the new 1 Series with three-cylinder engines and front-wheel drive? It seems now, just as in the 1970s and 1980s, that emissions regulations and social considerations are driving some automakers to adopt unbefitting practices to maintain acceptance in the eyes of governments and consumers. Jaguar has jumped on the bandwagon, and is considering development of small, frugal, front-wheel-drive cars to help lower Jaguar Land Rover's average vehicle CO2 levels in light of tightening European emissions regulations, Autocar reports.
By 2020, the European Union expects the model range of every manufacturer to average 95 grams per kilometer, which is a new law passed by the European Parliament in April. Manufacturers who make more than 300,000 vehicles per year must meet these targets, and JLR is expected to be producing up to 700,000 vehicles per year by then. CO2 regulations after 2020 will only get stricter, as EU politicians already are talking about lowering CO2 levels to between 68 g/km and 78 g/km. (To put that in perspective, Autocar posits that driving a fully charged electric vehicle in Europe produces about 75 g/km when factoring in the power-generation infrastructure.)
Jaguar has some choices here, but so far they all have drawbacks. It could develop a new, compact chassis architecture for a line of compact vehicles, but the investment required for such a project could be prohibitively expensive. Jaguar has been looking into using the Land Rover Evoque platform for a small SUV, Autocar reports, but Land Rover brand manager John Edwards raises issue with such a plan, saying it may not be financially feasible.
