Hayward, California, United States

You are bidding on a meticulously fully restored 1974 Jaguar XKE V12 Series III Roadster - maroon exterior with biscuit leather interior. It has 4-speed transmission, a/c, p/s, and chrome wire wheels.  It also comes with books and records. There are two jacks, two hammers, and two knockoffs - one for show and one for working on the car.  San Jose British Motors Jaguar in San Jose Calif. acquired this unique vehicle and decided this was going to be their show car. No expense were spared on the restoration of this car. Every nut and bolt was cleaned or replaced  with all new parts or N.O.S. parts in a four year period by their factory trained technicians.  On more than one occasion, the owner would say to the guys in the shop "you are going to break us with the money and time you are spending on this one car", but it was worth every dollar and minute spent and it shows.  The photos reflect how clean and beautiful this car is inside and out and even underneath.  If you were going to restore this car today it would easily cost you over $200,000.  The miles are TMU, but there are approximately 37,000 miles on the car, including 800-900 miles driven since the restoration to keep it in tip top running order.
This gem is located at our dealership, FMGJ, Inc (Dealer #49986) - 2446 Pratt Avenue - Hayward - Ca - 94544 (in the San Francisco Bay Area -convenient to all 3 major airports.) and is shown by appointment only. Call Guy Faulknor @ 415-860-8602.
We are starting the auction at $70,000 and the last bidder is going to own this fantastic car!
Payment by certified check only within 7 days after the close of auction. All transportation to be paid for by new owner.
Good Luck...hope you will be the proud new owner of this magnificent Jaguar so you can be the envy of the road.

Jaguar releases Desire short film starring F-Type and Damian Lewis

Wed, 24 Apr 2013

After stoking the hype with a theatrical-style trailer, Jaguar has finally released the full-length version of its mini-movie, Desire, to help kick off the new 2014 Jaguar F-Type. Starring Homeland actor Damian Lewis across from the lovely Shannyn Sossamon, the film has been turned loose on YouTube after an initial debut at the Sundance London film and music festival.
Shot in Chile's rather breathtaking Atacama Desert, Desire is described by the producers as being "A story of betrayal, retribution, passion and greed." Lewis plays the lead role of Clark, a high-end car delivery guy (great work if you can get it), who runs into an unexpected, sexy mystery when shuttling the lovely F-Type to the middle of nowhere. Who could have guessed?
We won't spoil any of the not-exactly-serious 13-minute plot for you; scroll down below to see for yourself if the theatrical pomp and circumstance is worthy of Jag's newest roadster.

Jaguar XE bares its claws in 74 images [w/video]

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

The XE may prove to be the most vital new model to Jaguar's expansion. But to date we've only really seen it in top-spec, supercharged XE S form. That ends right here and now, however, as Jaguar releases details, photos and even a brief video clip showing the entire range - including those most customers are bound to buy.
Globally speaking - or at least in its home market - Jaguar will offer the XE with five different engines and in four different trim levels. The new Ingenium engine family includes two diesels and two turbocharged gasoline options along with the top-of-the-line supercharged V6 that will serve as the XE's performance flagship model, at least until a new SVR version comes along. Both six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmissions are on offer, and overseas buyers will also be able to choose between base SE, mid-range Prestige, opulent Portfolio, dynamic R-Sport and range-topping S trim levels.
Of course not every engine is available in each trim level and with either transmission, so instead of 40 combinations we're looking at 22. Once the XE reaches American showrooms, we'll likely be looking at even fewer, as we're not expecting the manual and diesel versions to be offered Stateside. Stay tuned as well for our live impressions from the floor of the Paris Motor Show. But in the meantime you can scope out all the details and UK specifications in the press release below, along with the short video and the gallery of 74 high-resolution images above.

Entry-level Jaguar X-Type successor due in 2015, crossover a year later

Mon, 26 Nov 2012

Jaguar's future product plans keep on slipping, slipping, slipping onto the internet, and the latest on it's entry-level luxury challenger is a 2015 due date. According to Automobile magazine, "most significant game-changer from Coventry" will be arriving on the same PLA platform that supports the Jaguar XJ and 2013 Range Rover. Kacher says the small sedan has already got the green light as codename X760, and will bow first as a four-door sedan, then as a crossover a year later.
This puts a date to a recent Autocar report that a small sedan and crossover were in the works. We've been getting reports of and concepts for a successor to the X-Type ever since Tata bought Jaguar - like the Bertone B99 concept last year, and this enthusiast concept more recently - since everyone knows it's what has to happen for "a new Jaguar" to succeed. We're looking forward to seeing what the English maker comes up with; if it remains true to form, it could be one of the few luxury competitors whose distinct model each look, well, truly distinct.
