The Glacier Blue limited edition also features a heated windshield wiper system with warm fluid on demand, a rear-seat DVD system with dual headrest-mounted on viewing screens, each with individual DVD-players and wireless headphones (included), front and rear heated seats, rear radio/audio, power rear window, power moon roof,  air suspension. I had the rear spare tire delete kit installed which is over a $500 option. Includes tow hooks and lighted chrome license plate holder. Original factory components and rear spare are included in this auction.  The spare tire matches the tires on the vehicle and is brand new, never used. The rear Hummer rubber SUT cargo mat is an added option as well and will come with the vehicle. This vehicle has been well maintained. The undercarriage is immaculate. The chrome is in excellent condition with absolutely no pitting. There are some small scuff marks on the very right side of the grill, hard to see in the pics.

The vehicle is in excellent condition and is mechanically sound. This Hummer has not seen any winters. The undercarriage is like new! It will come with a clean Auto Check history report. In my research it appears that they produced about 300 Glacier Blue Hummers and only a small fraction of those made were the SUT Model!

This Hummer has been smoke free and pet free. Interior is free of smells. No tears, rips or holes in the interior. It is in excellent condition. Original manuals and books along with navigation dvd will come with the vehicle.

Report: Last-ditch sale effort for Hummer post wind-down announcement fading

Tue, 06 Apr 2010

It's getting tough for even the most ardent supporters of the Hummer brand to continue to keep hope alive. Reports the aficionados at HummerGuy.net: "While many of us were hoping for a last-minute miracle to save the Hummer brand, signs from Detroit are indicating that Hummer production will soon cease indefinitely."
It appears as if General Motors has resigned itself to winding the brand down and letting it die a slow, agonizing death. The automaker says that it's no longer considering offers for the brand and dedicated Hummer staff are reportedly be assigned to serve elsewhere.
Oh, and about that "Save Hummer" summit that's planned for April 11th near Chicago? GM, though it is aware of the rally, has no plans to send representation. That sound that you hear? That's just the tolling of Hummer's death knell. Thanks for the tip, Brian!

MEV rocks up with electric mini Hummer HX

2011 MEV Hummer HX - Click above to watch the video after the jump
The 2008 Hummer HX concept was supposed to be General Motors' answer to the Jeep Wrangler. To put it mildly, that failed to materialize. General Motors killed Hummer as part of its bankruptcy-induced limb severing in 2009, before the HX could be brought to fruition as the H4, as had been rumored.
For those of you who wish the HX had indeed surfaced, we have some excellent news: My Electric Vehicle, or MEV, has appropriated the HX concept, added an electric drivetrain and created the MEV Hummer HX. The MEV HX is a fully electric golf cart resort vehicle, licensed by GM and sporting Hummer wheels and skid plates.

Team Miller Fisher finishes the 20th Anniversary Rallye A"icha des Gazelles

Team Miller Fisher finishes the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles - Click above for high-res image gallery
Team Miller Fisher has crossed the finish line of the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles - in a Hummer H3 driven off a Parisian dealer's lot - and battled from 51st to 12th out of 98 teams after a mistake on the first leg. The Rallye Aïcha, a six-stage trek through the desert, allows no use of GPS, no pace notes, no cell phones, and no binoculars. Pilots and co-pilots find their way between checkpoints with maps, compasses and pencils, and whoever completes the journey in the shortest distance, wins.
The race was made even harder this year by using not the 1:100,000-scale maps of years past, but scraps of paper with increasingly less route information as the race went on. Olympic skier and co-pilot Wendy Fisher wrote to say, "This continues to be the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. An unbelievably tough event. Days were SO long, almost impossible to get all of the checkpoints."
