This Hummer is fully loaded and is in pristine condition as it only has 8,689 miles. I am the original owner and ordered this vehicle new. You will not easily find a Hummer like this with the low miles and condition. This is about as close to you can get to own a new Hummer without the cost of a new Hummer.This vehicle has been kept its whole life inside a ckimate controled garage with heat in the winter and air conditioning in the summer.This vehicle still has the new leather smell of a new one. It has been started up at least once a week since it was new.It runs and drives like a new one and everything works as it should.The rear DVD has never been used. My detail man details this truck every month even if it has not been driven.The only problem I have is over the past 7 years I have lost one set of keys to the truck so I only have one set. This is a wonderful chance to own a H2 SUT that are not made any more. Any local GM dealership can and will work on the H2 Hummers so no worries since Hummer closed down. I have 5 vehicles in my climate controlled garage and I need to make room for another project I have and that is the only reason I am selling it. I do not need or am I hurting for cash so I will not entertain any low offers nor do I need any help selling this vehicle. please do not bid unless you have the means to pay for this Hummer. I am not interested in any trades of anykind. A 500.00 non refundable deposit is due 48 hours after vehicle purchase via paypal and the rest is due within 7 days via bank wire only. I have clear title and vehicle will not be released until payment clears the bank. I will assist in getting the vehicle loaded on a transport if the buyer is having the vehicle picked up by truck however the cost of the transport is all on the buyer. Humvee reborn on the battlefield... with a chimney?!
Fri, 09 Dec 2011The military's High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), better known to most of us as the Humvee, has already served a long and distinguished career in the battlefield, and there have been a number of replacements waiting in the wings to take over where the HMMWV left off. Or, should we say, leaves off... assuming that ever happens.
It seems that the Humvee is set to get a new lease on life as military budget constraints are forcing the government to reconsider its replacement. But there are still some pesky safety issues to work out before American soldiers will feel comfortable inside the confines of the off-road box on wheels.
As you're likely aware, improvised explosive devices are an ever-increasing threat to the lives of American troops serving overseas. The Humvee, which traces its design all the way back to the year 1984 when it first saw duty as a replacement for the long-running series of military Jeeps, has seen a number of incarnations over the years that added armor and improved safety, but the latest version may feature something hitherto unseen: a chimney.

The 2008 Hummer HX concept was supposed to be General Motors' answer to the Jeep Wrangler. To put it mildly, that failed to materialize. General Motors killed Hummer as part of its bankruptcy-induced limb severing in 2009, before the HX could be brought to fruition as the H4, as had been rumored.
For those of you who wish the HX had indeed surfaced, we have some excellent news: My Electric Vehicle, or MEV, has appropriated the HX concept, added an electric drivetrain and created the MEV Hummer HX. The MEV HX is a fully electric golf cart resort vehicle, licensed by GM and sporting Hummer wheels and skid plates.
