2005 Honda S2000

19,000 Original Miles, Meticulously Maintained, Fresh Recent Service, 2 Owners

I bought this Silverstone Metallic/Black-Red 2005 S2000 from the original owner, an elderly gentleman who was meticulous about everything involving the car. He kept all the original dealership paperwork, bill of sale, all books, tonneau, even the plastic cover the tonneau came in, etc. I still have all of those. It had just 8300 carefully driven original miles when I bought it, as the original owner only used it sparingly as a summer weekend car.

I have driven it quite a bit since I got it and now shows a bit over 19,000 miles. I drive the car daily so the mileage will go up a bit. The car is in outstanding condition and is one of the best cars I've ever owned. I have been told by one of the country's foremost S2000 experts, who did a pre-purchase inspection before I bought it that this is one of the best condition, most well maintained S2000s he's ever seen, and is rare with this low mileage in this color.

It can be seen in NYC or Northern Westchester.

It was recently serviced by that same specialty Honda S2000 expert shop in long island that services and modifies only these cars and nothing else. It had the following done:

oil change (synthetic mobil1 with pcx filter)
diff fluid service with mobil1 75w90 (good for another 35k)
axle nut torque revision
clutch adjust,
throttle adjust
clutch fluid replacement with ATE Super Blue
air filter
brake fluid replacement with ATE race/street super blue
hood latch and perch adjustment
tighten rear suspension links
soft top preventitive anti-rip filing

The car is BONE STOCK other than a set of new tires, which I recently replaced with Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical All Seasons because of the age of the previous tires.

2005 is considered by many to be the best year for the S2000 because it is the later AP2 model with the bigger motor and suspension revisions and yet was the last year before drive by wire throttle. 2006 and later also had some problems with clutch pressure sensors and popping out of 2nd gear that the 2005 doesn't have. This color combination is, I am told, the most desirable of all.

I have many more photos I can email. If you are looking for one of the lowest mileage, best condition s2000s in the country, this is it.

Clean NY State title in my name in hand.  Sold as is, where is, with no warranties of any kind expressed or implied.

Honda Builds The Crossover Of Bikes
Here in the land of Harleys and highways that stretch to infinity, Americans don't care much for sensible motorcycles. Unlike the majority of global bike buyers, North Americans tend to choose escape over utility, performance over practicality - that's simply how it's been done in the land of the free, at least until a funny thing happened on the way to the global recession.
As bank balances thinned and fuel prices crept skyward, sales of puffed up sportbikes and cartoonishly endowed cruisers plummeted. Americans rediscovered that motorcycles could be used for tasks like workaday commutes and trips to the grocery store, not just for riding into a Marlboro Man-approved sunset, fringe in tow. As consumers matured, manufacturers slowly responded with bikes better suited for purposeful priorities.

Honda to field this awesome Civic Tourer wagon in BTCC next season

Tue, 03 Dec 2013

We all know that the letters BTCC stand for British Touring Car Championship. But one of those Cs might as well stand for Civic, so dominant has the Honda team been in one of the most competitive tin-top racing series in the world. Honda has taken the manufacturers' and teams' titles in the BTCC for the past four years running, and the championship-winning drivers for the past three years have claimed the prize behind the wheel of a Civic. While that might have proven enough for any other manufacturer, Honda is returning again next season to defend its dominant position, and has just revealed the new car with which it intends to do so.
Next year Honda will be back on the grid with another Civic, only this time it's based on the new Euro-spec Civic Tourer. That will make Honda the only team in the BTCC (and one of only a few worldwide) fielding a wagon-based racing car. In announcing the new BTCC-spec Civic Tourer, the Honda Yuasa Racing team only released this one photo and didn't reveal much in the way of details, but team manager Peter Crolla indicated that "the weight, wheelbase, layout and suspension remain the same" as the hatchback which it will replace, only with a longer roofline.
Testing of the new touring wagon will commence in January before returning champions Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal will pilot the new Civic Tourer in the season opener at Brands Hatch in the UK in late March. It remains to be seen what car Andrew Jordan (who took the title this year in another Civic with the Pirtek Racing team) will be driving next season, but in the meantime, you can check out the full press release below for more.

Honda reveals XR-V crossover in Chengdu

Thu, 04 Sep 2014

Global automakers have been moving largely towards global products, but that doesn't mean it can't tweak them for local tastes. Take Honda, for example, and its new compact crossover. Unveiled late last year as the Vezel, the crossover is expected to arrive in Europe and North America as the HR-V. But in China, it's being called the XR-V and adopts the form you see here.
Presented by Dongfeng Honda at the Chengdu Motor Show, the new XR-V is based closely on the Vezel but adopts some unique bodywork for a more rugged look. The front end gets a more SUV-like grille and bumper, while the side flanks are less swoopy but with more muscular wheel arches. The result may not be as bonkers as the Mugen version that debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon tuner show, but reminds us more of the similarly named and ruggedized Subaru XV Crosstrek.
Though technically billed as a concept, the Chinese-market XR-V looks just about ready for production as it is. Both 1.5- and 1.8-liter engines are specified, and while there may not be a wealth of other details available, you can read what there is in the press release (presented in original and translated forms) below.
