This is simply the favorite vehicle I have ever owned. I does everything wonderfully and does so with style. This is the extremely difficult to find Honda Odyssey Touring Elite model that has every available comfort/performance feature offered by the manufacturer. In this vehicle, every individual has leg room, head room, drink holders, privacy lighting at their seats, air conditioning vents and some of the best sitting leather seating in the automotive business on ALL THREE ROWS. Third row seats will fold down down flat into floor, Trunk door is self opening/closing, all side windows behind the front row had privacy shades available per window to cut down on sun light is needed, side windows on sliding doors have power windows, remote start, lane change sensors package, parking sensors front/back, handsfree computer system for phone/entertainment system, entertainment package is top drawer for the industry without peer. Large movie screen is twice the size of any other factory system, can show movie on one side and play Xbox on the other side if desired, HDMI port, XM radio, Bluetooth, Nav, GPS, iPod port, Cool Box that will hold up to 8 drink cans, storage compartment between front seats, built in disk drive for loading on any CD's you may want to load, system that can have front passengers listening to on thing while the back rows with listen to another in their headsets (movie/gaming/Xm station etc.).... simply wonderful engineering and well thought out to allow every passenger to be independent of the other if desired and a 3500 pound factory towing pkg. Plus, a three zone climate system, heated seats reclining seats on ALL three rows! Just an awesome engineered vehicle!

Honda accused of not reporting all airbag problems

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

The Takata airbag recall that has afflicted a number of automakers may have just taken a very bad turn for Honda, which has already recalled over one million vehicles. Clarence Ditlow and the Center for Auto Safety have accused the Japanese manufacturer of failing to report two "injury-and-death" incidents. To determine just what happened, the company has initiated a third-party audit.
According to Bloomberg, CAS claims Honda failed to report fatalities in 2009 and 2013, a point Honda doesn't seem to contest, indicating that it didn't report so-called "verbal claims."
"It is our understanding that some manufacturers choose to include these types of verbal claims, and that these constitute the majority of the injury-and-death claims that they report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration," the company told Bloomberg via email. "We believe this practice accounts for the vast majority of the difference between the total number of injury-and-death claims reported by Honda compared to certain other manufacturers."

Consumer Reports' first motorcycle reliability report finds Japanese brands ahead

Sat, 22 Feb 2014

Consumer Reports has released its first ever study of motorcycle reliability, and students of its ratings on cars might notice a suspicious similarity - Japanese brands require fewer repairs than the leading American or German brands.
The study analyzed the reliability of 4,680 bikes owned by CR subscribers and found that Yamaha had the best ratings, with just one in ten bikes built between 2009 and 2012 requiring a repair over a four-year period. The makers of the R1 and R6 sport bikes were closely followed by Kawasaki and Honda, while one out of every four of the rumbling bikes from Harley-Davidson experienced an issue. BMW had the worst rating of the brands represented, with one in three bikes having problems.
According to CR, neither Suzuki nor Triumph owners provided enough information for a reliable rating. Based on the responses received, though, Suzuki would have finished with the other Japanese brands and Triumph, being English, would have been one of the less reliable makes.

Honda scores big in Automobile Advertising of the Year Awards [w/videos]

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

This year the Detroit Auto Show didn't just celebrate the automobile, it celebrated how we find out about the automobile, too. Partnering The One Club, this year introduced the 2014 One Show Automobile Advertising of the Year Award to Cobo Hall, celebrating winners in five different categories of advertising: broadcast television, online, interactive, experiential, and print/outdoor. Winners in those categories were judged by 50 creative directors and journalists, while a Public Choice category was chosen from among nearly 20,000 online votes.
Honda walked off with three of the six awards, its Hands spot taking Broadcast honors, its Sound of Honda getting the Online category and Illusions winning Public Choice. Hyundai made the grade in Interactive with Driveway Decision Maker, Fiat captured Print/Outdoor with its "Letters" ad, and Toyota's Tundra Endeavor Campaign spot and BMW's A Window into the Near Future were co-winners for Experiential.
You can watch all of the press release and winning videos below or check out all of the finalists, announced last month, for a refresher.
