2004 Honda Odyssey Exl Mini Van - Leather And Dvd on 2040-cars

Year:2004 Mileage:189980
Location:

Winter Haven, Florida, United States

Winter Haven, Florida, United States

This is my Wife's 2004 Honda Odyssey EXL van.  We are the second owners, we bought it in 2005 with about 15,000 miles on it.  It has been our faithful and loyal family van ever since.  We have always changed the oil every 5000 miles.

Every mechanical system works on the van, from the cold A/C to the DVD entertainment system.  It drives great and still gets about 18 mpg on the highway.  You can tell from the photos it still looks very nice.

Here are the things you need to know:
- the van has been in two accidents, both were minor rear end hits where someone hit the rear of the van.  Both times the bumper cover had to be replaced and repainted.  The 2nd time they had to replace the rear hatch.  The glass didn't break but the metal was dented enough that it had to be replaced.  For that reason, both bumpers are near perfect, which is not usual for a 10 year old car.
- the power doors work fine, except when you shut them, you have to use the remote or the buttons on the dash, pulling the door handle will not make them shut.
- there is a dent on the front drivers side fender, you can see it in one of the photos.  A horse got a little too close to the van at a 4h horse show and left a dent.  The paint is not damaged.
- we replaced the carpet last year (from the dealer), but since then it has stains.  What can I say, we have three kids, spills happen.
- the drivers front leather seat has a small tear and the arm rest seam is starting to give.
- there are rock chips on the hood, you can see these in the photos as well
- the car is due for its timing belt change, this is an important maintenance item that should be done as soon as possible.  If you are handy, the kit costs $315 from Honda.  If you have the dealer do the work, it be around $900 for the service.

None of this should be surprising for a 10 year old family van, just I wanted to detail everything you will find with the car so that there are no surprises.

I am confident, with regular maintenance, that this car will be a great car for its next owner, as it has been for us.

Bid with confidence, I have a 100% eBay rating.

Honda's slate for Tokyo Auto Salon includes S2000 revival, many Mugens

Thu, 27 Dec 2012

Honda has pulled back the covers on what we can expect to see at the 2013 Tokyo Auto Salon, including what looks to be an S2000 refresh some four years after the convertible left production. The S2000 Modulo Climax is an "exhibition model" based on the old roadster, but features updated front and rear fascias as well as an interior trimmed out in black and burgundy. Beyond that, details are scarce as hen's teeth.
Honda will also show off a number of vehicles based on the N-One mini, including the N-One Modulo Style, Mugen Racing N-One Concept and an N-One worked up by the Japan Nailist Association. That last creation features plenty of rhinestone decoration. (We wish we were joking.) Mugen will also display a tarted-up CR-V Design Study as well as the CR-Z Mugen RZ: a 300-unit specialty vehicle.
Meanwhile, the manufacturer's motorcycle arm will show off the Goldwing F6B, previously seen at EICMA 2012 as well as the CB1300 Super Four Special Edition and the NC700X. The automaker will also pepper its stand with a few of its racing machines for the public to enjoy. Check out the full press release below.

This is what Honda's new F1 engine will sound like

Fri, 18 Oct 2013

It appears that not even the legendary pairing of McLaren and Honda can produce a 2015-regulation Formula One engine that sounds as good as the current V8s. Much like Mercedes-AMG Petronas, McLaren Honda have released a clip of their turbocharged, 1.6-liter V6 ahead of next season, and well, at least to our ears, it's not the sweetest of singers.
We've reported on concerns that the new engines wouldn't sound "right," after years of the high-revving V8s and V10s. The more we're hearing of these new engines, the more reasonable those worries seem. That said, we'll need to wait until we really hear these cars driven in anger to render a final verdict.
Scroll down to view the official press release from Honda and to hear what the future McLaren Honda will sound like when it hits the grid in 2015. For comparison, we've also included some on-board footage of Jenson Button's McLaren's V8 from last season.

Honda begins Micro Commuter testing

Fri, 19 Jul 2013

Autocar is reporting that Honda is about to start testing prototypes of its Micro Commuter, a petite EV that'll do adorable battle with the Renault Twizy if it reaches production.
Honda first showed the Micro Commuter, a so called super-urban vehicle, in November. Like the Renault, it features a 1+1 setup, meaning there's a central seat up front and a small backseat behind it. Honda has designed the tandem runabout for versatility, featuring a body that can be adapted for everything from child hauling to elderly passengers.
A rear-mounted electric motor draws power from a 15-kilowatt, lithium-ion battery, granting it a top speed of 50 miles per hour. With 37 miles of range, the Micro Commuter could be a neat urban solution. That said, these were figures that were announced in November, so we wouldn't be surprised to see them change as Honda gathers data from its new prototype testing program.
