One of a kind Captain America Comic-Con and San Diego Blood Bank raffle prize. In 2008 my wife entered me into a raffle and they pulled my name! I have all documentation, title, CD with original Stan Lee pics signing, and standing by car. All of this is in a binder, which I've included just a few photos of. There were problems with the original wrap (peeling due to being wrapped before letting the ink cure) and it was re-wrapped right before going into storage in San Diego in 2009. We won the car with about 500 miles on it and put another 500 on it, so it has slightly over 1000 original miles. Again, it went inside and under a cover the day we picked it up from being re-wrapped. The wrap has not been touched by sunlight since 2009 and is as vibrant as the pictures. It has been started every month, and battery unhooked, tires checked, etc. It is in excellent condition. This was the first time Marvel authorized a wrap of this kind. They did it again in 2009 and I am absolutely certain that car is not in this condition. You can search the internet and still find the stories from when we won it. The is the absolute ultimate Captain America, Marvel, and Stan Lee collectible. The car is in San Diego, and I am in Florida so I apolgize that I can't walk outside and take additional photos. rest assured it is as good as the pics provided. The ONLY reason I am selling this is because I am finally getting out of the Marine Corps after 30 years and could use the money to ease the transition. The sticker price for this car was over $22,000 and a wrap like this costs around $4,000-$5,000, the signature and provenance is worth as much as an individual bidder believes it is. Please serious bidders only.

Automakers donating money, vehicles and supplies to Oklahoma tornado relief effort

Fri, 24 May 2013

Judging by the destruction the Oklahoma City area experienced earlier this week, residents are going to need a lot of help in coming months. Fortunately, a number of automakers - including General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, Volkswagen, Honda and Toyota - have stepped up to donate money, supplies and vehicles to aid in the recovery and rebuilding processes.
Here's a quick rundown of which automakers have pitched in and what each contributed so far:
Ford Motor Company has donating $250,000 and a Transit Connect to the American Red Cross, and it will match all other donations made to the Red Cross (up to $250,000) using a special URL tied to the latter's website (link here). Additionally, its local Oklahoma dealers have thrown in an extra $150,000 for the United Way and the automaker will be offering an extra $500 toward the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.

2016 Acura NSX aimed at Ferrari 458 for the price of Audi R8

Wed, 08 Oct 2014

Acura has done a good job of keeping the next-generation NSX under the wraps for the past few months, especially after a fiery little incident during testing at the Nürburgring earlier this year. But UK's What Car? recently got a chance to speak with development boss Ted Klaus, and he unleashed a few new details about the much-anticipated supercar to make it even harder for us to wait.
Among the info was a strong estimate of the NSX's performance potential. "We have to achieve the type of acceleration that the customer is achieving with the Ferrari," said Klaus to What Car?. "More importantly we have to achieve this every day and also at the Nürburgring." Assuming Acura's supercar is as actually quick as a 458 Italia, then it could hit 60 miles per hour in around 3.5 seconds.
Klaus also claims that the wickedly fast performance could come at a relative bargain for the class. The price is reportedly being benchmarked against the Audi R8, which would put the NSX around $130,000 in the US. While hardly cheap, it would still be a healthy discount off a 458.

Honda takes us through 50 years of automobiles in 60 seconds

Fri, 12 Jul 2013

Honda's wonderfully simple, fun ads are not in short supply right now. We showed you Hands, the followup to 2003's The Cog, last week. If you haven't had a chance to look at those two great videos, we strongly encourage you to head over that way and give them a watch.
The latest minute-long commercial is a bit more dear, though. And while it may be in Japanese, it's still a cool look back at Honda and its car-building history.
This is also a great video if you're a fan of odd, vintage Japanese vehicles. Honda's T360 and a few old Civics are featured heavily, although we can't help but notice that a few very big names are missing. Where's the NSX or the S2000? How about the original Insight, a car so revolutionary it still has a cult following today? Honda has made some great cars, we just wish it'd show off more of them. Check out the video below.
