I have owned this Civic since new. I bought it off the show room floor. It has 92000 original miles on the body and frame. The motor was rebuilt with the turbo 7 years ago @ 68000 miles. This car has never seen the snow, rarely seen rain. Garaged every winter. Never track driven so I have no quarter mile run numbers or 0-60's. Last dyno test was @ 12 lbs of boost creating 435 fwhp. This cars motor/turbo system was built by Trick Engineering in Hampstead NH. Modified parts are as follows:

Body: (Has 5-6 minor imperfections in paint or dent)
Wings West Urethane front rear and side skirt lip kit molded into original bumpers and body.
Niche 17" Chrome wheels w/ Toyo Proxie tires
Motor: (runs perfectly) 1.6li dohc b16a and dart block mix.
Power Slot/ AEM Big brake kit front and rear
Upgraded front axles
Dart aluminum 1.9liter block
Eagle Crankshaft
Internals built for turbo
Garret T3 turbo
Over sized front intercooler
Aluminum Racing radiator
Turbonetics blow off valve
Hondata stand alone ECU
ACT clutch
DC Sport suspension
Adjustable coil over suspension
Thermal exhaust (2.5" quiet street)
Interior: good condition, scratch in drivers seat, small dent/cut pass door panel, some peeling/lifting vinyl.
Katzkin leather seat kit
Kenwood CD/ipod/usb player
2 sets of JL Audio Component speakers
2 ten inch JL Audio subwoofers
5 Channel JL Audio amplifier

This is an amazing car, its in incredible condition, its fast, its fun, it looks great and for the reserve price....is a steal.

Honda fixes Fit flaw, improves performance on key crash test [w/video]

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

The Fit's grade on the small-front overlap test improved from "marginal" to "acceptable."
Back in March, safety engineers at Honda were disappointed when the much-anticipated 2015 Fit received a substandard grade on an important crash test conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Hurricane Sandy cost automakers 15,000 vehicles, may have ruined up to 200k

Wed, 07 Nov 2012

Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic storm in US history, and its total economic impact is just now coming into view. According to Automotive News, Toyota, Chrysler, Nissan and Honda are set to scrap around 15,000 new vehicles ruined by the storm. Nissan alone accounts for about 40 percent of those, with 6,000 Nissan and Infiniti models deeded "un-saleable" due to damage. The company saw 56 dealerships shuttered due to the storm, but 51 of those have since reopened.
Toyota, meanwhile, had some 4,000 vehicles at its Newark port facility, and of those, 3,000 may be scrapped. An additional 825 were dealer inventory when they were ruined. Honda and Acura dealers are reportedly sending 3,440 vehicles to the salvage yard. By comparison, Chrysler weathered the storm fairly well with 825 units destroyed, while Hyundai suffered only 400 lost units and Kia scrapped around 200.
As you may recall, Fisker also suffered some losses, and Automotive News reports the manufacturer saw 320 Karma models damaged beyond repair. Ford and General Motors have yet to come up with estimates, and no automaker has commented on the full cost of replacing the vehicles.

2015 Civic Type R will make 'at least' 276 hp from 2.0L turbo [w/video]

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

Honda may not actually be showing off the production form of its upcoming Euro-only 2015 Civic Type R at the Frankfurt Motor Show this year, but it did take advantage of the focused media attention to make a pretty cool announcement. In addition to dropping a really hot video of the new Type R testing at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Honda Europe president, Manabu Nishimae, gifted us with some juicy details about the coming hot hatch.
Nishimae confirmed rumors that this Type R would make use of a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, while telling us that the mill would be good for an output of "at least 280 PS." A raw conversion from PS (metric horsepower) to standard horsepower gives us a figure of about 276 hp, or very near the rumored figure of 300 galloping, front-wheeled ponies.
The company will need each ounce of output from its new 2.0-liter engine if it is to meet its stated performance target: making the Civic Type R the fastest front-wheel-drive production car around the 'Ring. Apparently this last session of testing, with World Touring Car Championship driver Gabriele Tarquini at the wheel, has already gotten Honda close to the lap record. Scroll down to read Honda's brief press release about the upcoming Type R, and, more importantly, to listen to the car as it's throttled around the track.
