nothing and is in very good original mechanical and good cosmetic condition. Before I
purchased it, nearly eight years ago, this Mustang spent most of its life in the southeast United States
and was originally purchased and driven in Charlotte, North Carolina. The car has always been garage
kept and stored winters. This Mustang is completely stock, has no
modifications and has been cared for in
a way that is unusual for vintage Mustangs - never kid owned, modified, or
abused. The engine is smooth and strong and the car’s automatic transmission
shifts smooth and crisp. The single exhaust is original style and the car is
quiet running. The steering is tight and
accurate feeling and the car feels and is really solid. This Mustang shows quite well and is a beautiful shade of it's original “Sahara Beige” color and the paint is shiny and is in good condition. This car has no rot or rust on the body or frame. The body is original and solid. The engine compartment is remarkably clean and show worthy - see pictures. The chrome shows quite well - see photos, the bumpers are straight and the wire wheel covers simply glisten in the sunlight while in motion. The original palomino and parchment colored interior is clean, nice and original - see photos. The original AM radio (highly desired) works perfectly and will pick up your favorite talk radio station or oldies station or your local ball game station. This fine classic has a clean underside and although not detailed, is just what you would expect from a solid and well maintained and cared for car. The trunk on this car is clean and original and the five matching whitewall radial tires, all in excellent condition, have less than 1,500 miles on them. Snapshots from Acura NSX prototype run at Mid-Ohio
Mon, 05 Aug 2013Acura's achingly slow showing of the new, hybrid NSX saw yet another step yesterday, as we reported late last week. A powder-blue prototype ran ahead of the open-wheelers at the Honda Indy 200 at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Why show the NSX Prototype at Mid-Ohio? Honda's Ohio research and development center, which has taken the lead on NSX development, is just 60 miles from the track. And as race sponsor, Honda must have figured it would give the spectators a glimpse of the new supercar it's been teasing for the better part of a decade.
With a planned launch in 2015 (special emphasis on the "planned" part, considering the NSX's history), the NSX Prototype shown here sports graphics that "speak to Acura's intention to go racing with the new NSX." That's great news for fans of endurance racing, although it remains to be seen when a motorsports program for the new NSX will get off the ground.

Honda, Hyundai and Kia get best word-of-mouth recommendations in US
Mon, 09 Dec 2013Forget advertising, incentives and, yes, even our excellently crafted vehicle reviews, sometimes the best way for automakers to sell cars is still good ol' fashioned word of mouth. In an attempt to measure this "word of mouth" power, The Boston Consulting Group, a management consulting firm, has created a new study called the Brand Advocacy Index (BAI). The index takes a look at how various industries perform from person to person. Those industries include automotive, smartphones, grocery, mobile telecommunications and banking.
The study polled more than 32,000 individuals across Europe and in the US to come up with the top 55 brands in these various industries. On the automotive side of things, the top brands in the US were Honda, Hyundai and Kia, all tied at 63 percent. On a global scale, Volkswagen and Toyota scored the highest with a 65-percent BAI rating (both in France). The average BAI for auto industry players tallied 50 percent.
As for companies in other industries, Apple's iPhone was the index's top-rated smartphone, Trader Joe's was the highest recommended grocery store, Virgin was sat atop the mobile telecom industry and USAA was the top retail bank. Scroll down for the full press release on the new study.
Honda S660 Concept portends a new kei car for 2015
Wed, 20 Nov 2013Apart from a tiny, one-paragraph mention in a press release about the Honda show stand in general, the company hasn't said very much about its completely charming S660 Concept. The model would seem very much to be a look ahead at a possible successor to the Beat kei car for Japanese customers, though we've been told that we shouldn't expect any kind of translation or product for the American market (despite certain key executives wanting more sports cars in the US).
Honda tells us only that the S660 roadster features "advanced styling" and "new initiatives such as Super cockpit interior." We do think that the confines of the S660 look particularly driver-focused, with a carbon fiber steering wheel clad in soft leather, very racy looking vented seats and instruments tilted to keep the pilot constantly informed.
Honda President and CEO, Takanobu Ito, also touched on the S660 in his remarks at the press conference, saying that the model "embodies the freewheeling thinking of young Honda engineers, who want to make a cool car that is unique to Honda." Takanobu also said that the concept will be developed into a production model for 2015, which is great news for Japanese drivers.
