Condition:  2008 Honda Accord EX-L with Navigation 4 door sedan.  This car shows great with very few flaws.  There is a minor dent the size of a quarter on the passenger quarter panel and the front tires will need to be replaced in about 10,000 miles or in about a year depending on how much you drive.  The rear tires and battery are new.  Driver seat shows normal wear but the rest of the car, rear seats, passenger seat and factory floor mats are like new.  Factory rubber trunk liner included.

Features:  Automatic, 4Cylinder, 4 Door Sedan, Sunroof, Navigation, Black Paint, Tan Leather, Factory Floor Mats, Factory All Weather Trunk Liner, Heated Seats, Bluetooth, Alloy Wheels, Cruise Control and Tinted Windows.

History:  I bought this a few months ago then received a company car and no longer need it.  The first owner rarely drove the car and took excellent care of it.  It looked brand new when I bought it and still looks great today.  I was told it was garage kept by the first owner and has been garage kept since I bought it.  In fact, it has been in the garage for the last 2 weeks since I started driving my company car.  I believe that is the reason why the original battery failed so I replaced it with a brand new one.  I paid cash and am prepared to lose some money from the retail price.

Shipping and Payment:  I am unwilling to ship the car and will only work with a buyer who is willing to meet with me in person.  Once the car is paid for you can arrange for your own shipment if desired.  A deposit in the amount of $1,000 will be required though Paypal within 48hrs once the auction has ended.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Honda says Accord is America's best-selling car among actual consumers

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

The latest round of new vehicle registration data has been good for Honda - three of the Japanese brand's models are retail sales leaders and the Accord was the most registered car built in America in 2013, according to the data compiled by Polk. In fact, 360,089 units of the family sedan were purchased by individual consumers last year, an increase of 12.2 percent.
There was also good news from the Civic and CR-V camps, as those two models topped their respective segments in terms of retail (non-fleet) sales, with each notching over 300,000 registrations. Combined with the Accord, this trio of Hondas accounted for a whopping 1.11 million retail sales last year.
Honda spokesperson Sage Marie reflected on Polk's findings, telling Autoblog:

Watch this LSR Honda Insight crash at 190 mph in the desert

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

Like any form of motorsports, attempts at breaking land speed records are inherently dangerous. To wit: During a recent speed competition at El Mirage dry lake beds in southern California, racer Brian Gillespie and his first-gen Honda Insight crashed at nearly 190 miles per hour, and it was all caught on video.
According to the Southern California Timing Association website, which hosts the event, the weather was good and there was no wind on November 10, so it isn't clear what may have caused the crash. Despite the car being destroyed (including the entire front end being sheared off), Gillespie suffered only "minor injuries" and is recovering. The SCTA site does state that Gillespie managed to crack the 200-mile-per-hour mark in a previous run with a top speed of 200.9 mph, so congratulations to him on that! Scroll down to watch the horrifying crash.

Honda to dub Fit-based as HR-V for North America

Sun, 06 Apr 2014

You may remember it as the Urban SUV (pictured above) from when it debuted in concept form at the Detroit Auto Show last year, or know it as the Vezel as the production version was unveiled for the Japanese Domestic Market at the 2014 Tokyo Motor Show. But when Honda starts exporting its new Fit-based crossover - or better yet, building it in Mexico for North American consumption - it will be called the HR-V.
This news comes courtesy of Honda enthusiast forum Temple of VTEC. When contacted by Autoblog, Honda spokesmen declined to comment on the veracity of the report, saying only that it would "announce the name in the near future," but the handle fits with what we know about Honda's history with compact crossovers. The previous HR-V (which was not available in the States) was a high-riding, squared-off crossover built between 1999 and 2006 and based on the Fit's predecessor, the Honda Logo.
While the HR-V moniker might not have name recognition in North America, it would in Europe where Honda also hopes its new crossover will find eager customers. It will also fit in nicely below the CR-V that will continue on as the HR-V's larger stablemate.
