US $12,400.00
Year:2008 Mileage:119994 Color: are still in excellent condition

This Honda has been an excellent car.  I AM A NON-SMOKER.  Never has smoke been in this car.   I'm selling to upgrade to a larger vehicle for my growing family. It has always been serviced regularly and has never had even one maintenance problem. I have been the sole owner of the vehicle and bought it brand new.

This Honda has also been parked in a garage, one of the reasons the interior and exterior are still in excellent condition. Most of the miles (75%) are freeway miles, which everyone knows is a lot better on a vehicle than the stop and jerk motion of city miles.

Seats: All seats are premium leather. The front seats are heated, and they heat up quickly, which is amazing in the cold winter. The AC and Heat also work great. It takes about a minute to heat or cool down the interior, depending on which you need. The front seats are also dual-power. The back seat folds down, which enables you to put skis, a snowboard, or something else in the trunk. You can even fit a house door. If you have passengers, you can fold down the middle portion and still fit long objects through the trunk.

Hands-Free Voice: You can receive calls through your phone and talk hands free, store numbers in the car system and voice command to call someone, or use voice commands to control navigation features. I use this all the time and makes it convenient to talk on the phone or get navigation instructions without being distracted while driving.

Sound System: It has a premium sound system, with an MP3 hook up capability that I use all the time, and a 6 CD disc changer. It also is equipped with XM Radio, which you can subscribe too. I have been an XM customer since I bought the car, and I love it. Of course, it comes with standard FM/AM radio as well. You can adjust the volume, change channels on the radio or XM, or change modes from radio/XM/CD all from the steering wheel, which provides a lot of convenience when driving. There are also controls on the vehicle to do these tasks as well.

Home-Link: There are 3 buttons to program for garage doors.

Navigation System: The navigation system works really well. I've used it time and again. It is easy to use, and you can even do it with voice commands. The directions are clear and accurate.

Sun/Moon Roof: The sun/moon roof slides back, or you can just open it from the back to allow fresh air in.

Cruise Control: You can set the cc, accelerate or deccelerate from the comfort of your steering wheel as well.

MPG: Freeway miles average 29-30, city miles average 19-20. I can drive almost 7 hours on the freeway without having to fill up. It is hard to find ANY vehicle that will do that.

Trunk: The trunk is roomy and will fit just about anything you have. It also stores the spare tire and jack in the bottom of the trunk, so it doesn't take up any trunk spare. Remember, you can also fit long objects in the trunk by folding down the back seat, or the middle portion of the back seat if you have passengers.

Storage: Lots of storage through the vehicle for yourself and any passengers.

Tires: These are premium tires that were purchased less than 6 months ago brand new.

Shipping Terms:  Buyer must pick up the vehicle after the vehicle has been paid for.  I will consider driving the car to you if you are within a few hours of my location.

Honda 'Hands' ad is a worthy successor to 'Cog'

Mon, 08 Jul 2013

The 2003 Cog commercial from Honda may have been named one of the best car commercials of all time, but an all-new spot called Hands looks to be even more entertaining even if it's digitally enhanced. The two-minute video - which starts and ends with a nod to Cog - highlights just about all facets of Honda's universe of products from passenger cars to racecars, the HondaJet to leaf blowers, motorcycles, ATVs and even Asimo.
Celebrating 65 years of innovation, the advertisement is as informative as it is amusing, and it even injects a little humor, too, like a glass of water being squeezed from the FCX Clarity. We just hope that the 1:10 mark of the video isn't hinting at a CR-V Convertible. We're not sure when Hands will air or if we'll see it on television here in the US, but the video is posted below; as an added bonus, we've also included the video for Cog.

Acura ILX headed for Civic-like early upgrades

Wed, 12 Dec 2012

The not-yet-ready-for-primetime 2012 Honda Civic saw it quickly returned to sender for refurbishment, now the Acura ILX is headed in the same direction in its very first year. Automotive News reports that the small, Civic-based sedan from Honda's luxury brand isn't meeting sales expectations, with an annualized rate of 22,000 to 24,000 sales instead of the 30,000 the company is after. More telling is that the ILX "is being outsold by the Buick Verano, Volkswagen CC and Audi A4," and, except for two months since it launched, it has also been outdone by the Acura TSX it is meant to replace.
Part of the cause has been the 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine: its 150 horsepower to motivate a sedan that can weigh up to 2,970 pounds doesn't offer the kind of performance or value experience that buyers in the segment respond to. Another big issue is that the top-level 2.4-liter engine is only offered with a six-speed manual even though most buyers of the highest trim don't really want to shift their own gears. Lastly, the ILX might not put enough space between it and its frugal underpinnings - our first drive review pegged it as "the world's nicest Honda Civic."
An automatic transmission is on the way for the 2.4-liter, but it isn't clear when. And while Honda admits that the 2.0-liter is underpowered and Automotive News says it's on the way out, the company hasn't yet said how that situation will be corrected.

Petrolicious profiles an 'original fanboy' and his 1987 Honda CRX Si

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

Christopher Hoffman is a guy I'd like to meet. He's profiled in the latest installment of Petrolicious, titled Original Fanboy, because of his love and dedication to his 1987 Honda CRX Si. And that's something I can relate to.
My personal car is a black 1988 Honda CRX Si. Road & Track executive editor Sam Smith sold it to me in December 2010 with some 93,000 miles on the odometer (and one bum tire!), and though I don't drive it nearly as much as I should, I'm madly in love with my little Honda. I take immense pride in owning this car, despite my recent neglect. As soon as we're done with this Polar Vortex crap here in the midwestern United States, I'm going to pull the CRX out of its wintertime storage and show it the love it deserves.
Like me, Hoffman fully understands the beauty of the CRX. It's not super powerful, or even quick (when it was new, its 0-60 time was just over 9 seconds), but it's extremely light, and comes from an era when Honda was churning out brilliantly simple cars. The steering is incredibly precise, the transmission perfect, and the chassis superb. Nearly 26 years after its birth, I adore every moment behind the wheel of my CRX. And thanks to this Petrolicious special, I know I'm not alone. Scroll down to watch the full episode.
