I am selling a nice crew cab 2001 GMC Sierra 2500hd pickup truck. I got this with a blown motor that had 280k miles on it and I got a new motor with 80k miles on it from a salvaged vehicle that was the same year and swapped the motor over. The truck is running and driving great now. The odometer still shows 280k but the new motor is clean and ready to run. This is only a 2 owner truck and has been well maintained considering the miles. It has a few dents on the truck and a few scratches on the driver side on the plastic part around the rear fender. The paint is in good condition. The interior is grey clothe and is very clean an.d will be professionally steam cleaned prior to pickup. It has the fifth wheel hitch in the bed and bumper pull tow package. If you have any questions please contact me prior to bidding cause I have set this at a low reserve and want to sell it. This truck is a work horse and would make a great truck for anyone. The buyer is responsible for shipping although I will help whatever way I can. Thank you

GM renders new Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon pickups
Thu, 08 Aug 2013At a series of industry seminars in Traverse City, MI today, General Motors executive vice president Dan Ammann gifted us with our first glimpse of the upcoming midsize pickup range from Chevrolet and GMC.
Just two slivers of nose are all we can see of the soon-to-be announced Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon, though the teaser image does make plain that the pair will follow the styling cues (at least up front) found on big brothers Silverado and Sierra.
GM hasn't given us much in the way of detail in its ultra-brief press release that accompanied the teaser image, which is to be expected. We're told only that the pair of trucks are designed to be "capable, versatile and fuel-efficient alternatives to full-size pickups" and that production will start sometime in 2014, at the Wentzville, MO assembly center.
2014 Chevy Silverado details continue to dribble out
Wed, 03 Apr 2013PickupTrucks.com has gotten its hands on a few more details concerning the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and the 2014 GMC Sierra. General Motors held a conference call on the two trucks, allowing Jeff Luke, executive chief engineer for both, to answer a few questions. Luke said truck buyers are largely concerned with power and fuel economy, and as such, GM will continue to explore new methods of providing both. That may translate into any number of drivetrain permutations, including light-duty diesel engines, eight-speed transmissions or even a twin-turbocharged V6.
What's more, both the 2014 Silverado and its GMC twin will boast a tow rating of 11,500 pounds, but only when equipped with a max-trailering package. Without that special package, the rating drops to 10,200 lbs for regular cabs and 9,700 lbs for crew cabs. Buyers will no longer be able to opt for a 4.10 gear ratio.
We're also excited to hear that GM plans on making the Z71 package into something more than just a few a stickers. While Luke didn't go into details, PickupTrucks.com says "it will get significant improvements in the future." Head over to the site for a quick rundown of the call's highlights.
