UP for auction is a 1994 GMC 4x4 Diesel Plow Truck with the rare 8ft bed.
it has the 6.5L Diesel engine that runs great. It has an automatic Transmission. The truck has Power windows and Power Locks.
The Plow is an older Minute Mount that is in very good condition and works great. The plow is 8ft.
The truck has had the cab corners repaired and other than that there is very minimal to no rust on it. The frame is very solid with not even Rust scale on it. The frame even has the factory black paint on must of it. There are a couple of small dents, one on the tailgate and one on the right front fender. It has the factory hood with air scoop on it.
The truck runs and drives down the road very good. it does need a Pitman Arm, there is a little play in the steering. The brakes work very good. The Transmission shifts just fine. When you put it in gear the Steering column indicator is a little off. THE ARROW FALLS BETWEEN THE NUMBERS. This does not affect the tranny whatsoever.
All this being said the truck is a very functional and would make a great work vehicle. It is an older truck and if you are looking for something perfect then this is not for you. It is a great runner but i'm sure there are some nicks and scratches that I have missed. Please remember that it is used.   I have tried to describe the truck the best that I can.

EVERYTHING WORKS ON THE TRUCK AS IT SHOULD. THE 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS PERFECT. ITS ON THE FLOOR SO THERE IS TO BE NO PROBLEMS WITH SWITCHES OR SENSORS GOING BAD. THERE ARE 2 BRAND NEW BATTERIES INSTALLED THIS MONTH. THERE ARE NO ENGINE LIGHTS ON AT ALL. THEY ARE LARGE BATTERIES WITH HIGH CCA. THE TRUCK IS ALSO EQUIPED WITH AN ENGINE BLOCK HEATER.

2014 Chevy Silverado details continue to dribble out

Wed, 03 Apr 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gotten its hands on a few more details concerning the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and the 2014 GMC Sierra. General Motors held a conference call on the two trucks, allowing Jeff Luke, executive chief engineer for both, to answer a few questions. Luke said truck buyers are largely concerned with power and fuel economy, and as such, GM will continue to explore new methods of providing both. That may translate into any number of drivetrain permutations, including light-duty diesel engines, eight-speed transmissions or even a twin-turbocharged V6.
What's more, both the 2014 Silverado and its GMC twin will boast a tow rating of 11,500 pounds, but only when equipped with a max-trailering package. Without that special package, the rating drops to 10,200 lbs for regular cabs and 9,700 lbs for crew cabs. Buyers will no longer be able to opt for a 4.10 gear ratio.
We're also excited to hear that GM plans on making the Z71 package into something more than just a few a stickers. While Luke didn't go into details, PickupTrucks.com says "it will get significant improvements in the future." Head over to the site for a quick rundown of the call's highlights.

GM's fullsize SUVs boost highway mileage by nearly 10 percent

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

We met the redesigned 2015 versions of the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, and the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL at the 2013 LA Auto Show. Improved gas mileage numbers have been announced to go along with the improved exteriors and interiors, with city mileage improving by seven percent and highway mileage going up by nearly ten percent; you'll now get 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 on the highway.
The only applies to models with the 5.3-liter engine, though, not the premium Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali SUVs with the 6.2-liter motor. Still, the 5.3 gets you more power than previously, with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque underfoot, on top of the improved fuel economy numbers. The 6.2-liter sticks with official mpg ratings of 15 highway, 21 city. There's a brief press release below with words straight from the horse's mouth.

Big And Boxy Might Be Best
As immense fans of the Back to the Future trilogy, we sometimes like to envision an alternate timeline in which General Motors had killed off GMC and kept Pontiac instead. The G8 GXP would still be on the road handily beating German sport sedans costing twice as much, while the lowly G3 would morph into a true subcompact-killer based on what is now the Chevrolet Sonic RS. While we're at it, let's go ahead and imagine the G6 has become the best-selling car in the US and the Torrent crossover is selling 20,000+ units per month. Far-fetched, we know.
The thing is, these fanciful statements would have to be true to make the case against keeping GMC. Pontiac may have offered more excitement than GMC, but money talks, and a full line of trucks, crossovers and SUVs have made a lot more money for GM than the arrowhead brand ever did. How much? As we learned last month, about two-thirds of GM's global profits came from its fullsize trucks, and GMC's trucks typically have thicker margins than their Chevrolet counterparts.
