1977 gmc Sierra Classic / camper special / gvw 8200 lbs
Truck is 2 wheel drive.....not a 4x4 75,595 original miles Original number matching 454 big block, runs great Turbo 400 automatic 14 bolt rear axle with 3:73 gears / fluid just changed, gears look perfect Power steering Power brakes Cold a/c, new ac lines Heavy duty radiator Dual 16 gallon tanks Trailer hitch Spray in bed liner New tires and wheels / tires are LT 265/75/16 load range E New dash pad Dual exhaust ( duals end under bed) Current pa inspection Extang full tilt tonneau cover I also have the original and rare chrome camper tie downs that screw into the frame rails. Small exhaust manifold leak on drivers side Small tear was sewn up on drivers side seat bottom( it's the original seat cover) Truck sold as/is. No warranty. No returns I bought this truck last October from a good friend of mine, it was in the same family since 1977! I always told him I would buy it if he ever sold. I love the truck, just don't have the time or space for it so I decided to sell it. It was always garage kept as far as I know, very solid truck. Only one small spot of rust on hood lip, see photo. I had another 75 truck and it had the same spot on hood. As far as I know all body panels,cab corners,rockers are all original and rust free, feel free to take a magnet to any body panel on this truck ! Original number matching 454 big block. Rebuilt starter , brand new restored/ rebuilt q jet carb. Many new a/c parts, blows cold. Truck was under coated when new. My friend said truck only had one repaint, about 8 years ago. Original q jet and air cleaner and a stock gmc grill go with truck. Miles are original at 75,595 , when my friend inherited the truck from his dad in 1989 miles where at 52000, I have a copy of that title. |

GM recalls 51k Enclave, Traverse, Acadia crossovers over fuel gauge inaccuracy
Mon, 05 May 2014With all eyes fixed on General Motors in the wake of the ignition recall debacle, the auto giant has been carefully calling in a wide array of vehicles to fix anything and everything that could prove problematic. Just the other day it issued two separate recalls - one concerning the Cadillac SRX and another its heavy-duty pickups - and now it is issuing another.
This time the vehicles in question are the Buick Enclave, Chevy Traverse and GMC Acadia, three fullsize crossovers based on GM's Lambda platform. In an estimated 51,640 units manufactured between March 26 and August 15, 2013, the engine control module has been found to incorrectly display the level of fuel in the tank.
As a result, owners are being notified to bring their vehicles in to their local dealers to have the ECU reflashed to fix the problem. View the full details in the announcement below from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
GM confirms 2015 Silverado, Sierra to get 8-speed automatic
Fri, 18 Jul 2014When viewed alongside the next Ford F-150 and the Ram 1500, there is one thing that seems to be missing from the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra. Where the F-150 will rely on turbocharging and aluminum architecture and the Ram sports an eight-speed automatic and an air suspension, the General Motors twins lack a big, calling-card feature. They're very good, very refined trucks, but one could argue that they're not terribly innovative.
And while it might not be as flashy a feature as air suspension or a lightweight skin, the Silverado and Sierra will get their own eight-speed automatic for 2015, a transmission that will be paired with the company's Ecotec3 6.2-liter V8. The new cogswapper will also find its way into the GMC Yukon Denali, but for now, there's no indication why the Cadillac Escalade, Suburban, Tahoe and standard Yukon are being left out.
According to GM, the new gearbox is about the same size and weight as the current Hydra-Matic 6L80 six-speed. By the time the new powertrain combination enters production late this year, the EPA will almost certainly have gotten around to certifying the vehicles' fuel efficiency. Until then, feel free to speculate. The current Silverado with the 6.2 and six-speed auto returns 14 miles per gallon in the city and 20 on the highway. OnStar RemoteLink mobile app coming standard on all new GM vehicles
Thu, 06 Jun 2013As an evolution and improvement of its OnStar technology, General Motors has announced that it will be expanding the RemoteLink Mobile App on most 2014 model year Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. The new, aptly named RemoteLink Key Fob Services will allow users to remotely operate all of the same systems as the car's key fob, including locking and unlocking the doors and remote starting (on vehicles equipped with a factory remote starter) using a smartphone.
These Key Fob Services will be free for five years - starting from the vehicle's delivery date - but the full suite of RemoteLink features will continue to be offered only with a subscription (trial or paid). These premium features include contacting a live adviser, getting turn-by-turn directions and remotely monitoring the vehicle's diagnostic systems.
