2011 Gmc Sierra 1500 Wt Standard Cab Pickup 2-door 5.3l on 2040-cars

Year:2011 Mileage:25000
Location:

2011 GMC Sierra 1500.  Regular Cab Short Bed 2wd  5.3 V8, Black with Black and Grey interior. 25000 miles.

I purchased this truck new in Oct 2011.  Regular Cab Short bed pickups with the 5.3 v8 are hard to find.  My dealership had to go 600 miles in order to get me what I wanted.  This truck has the rubber floor mat instead of carpet but I can install a carpet kit at an extra charge.
Here is how it was equipped when I purchased it.

5.3 with the 6 speed auto and a 3.42 rear gear.
Air conditioning
Power windows
Power door locks
Cruise control
Tilt wheel
6 speaker stereo and CD player with MP3 capabilities and AUX input.
Towing package with extra trans and engine oil cooler, Reese style trailer hitch and trailer light connectors.
Rear tinted window
Fog Lights
Cloth Bucket seats with folding center console
GM bed mat

List of items and upgrades I added.

McGaughys 4/6 lowering kit and BellTech Lowering shocks
20" American Racing wheels with 285-50-20 tires
Changed the chrome front grill for a factory take off black painted unit from a higher trim model.  This one has 4 horizontal bars where as the factory one only has 3.
Removed the factory chrome front and rear bumpers, had the chrome stripped off and powder coated black to match the truck.  Powder coating a front bumper is better than painting one due to rock chips.
Changed factory headlights for aftermarket ones that have less chrome.  These are not like the cheesy ones you usually see, these look like the stock units only with less chrome around the edges.
Tinted side windows.  I have one of the best tint guys in the business.  Quality tint that will not turn purple, and no bubbles.
Spray in bed liner.  I chose the Raptor brand (SEM) due to the fact it has a slight sheen to it, unlike the flat chalky versions that are out there.  I also installed a plastic tailgate cover (tailgate is sprayed also) to make it easier to slide items in and out of the bed.  Plus once it shows some wear it is easy to replace.  Factory bed mat has always been used on top of the spray in bed liner.
Tailgate also has a helper shock to keep it from slamming down when opening.

Truck still retains the factory exhaust and the factory computer has never been tuned or tweaked.  Truck is very clean inside and out.  No door dings or large scratches.  It is black so any little imperfection shows up but you will not be disappointed in this trucks appearance.  I routinely change the oil with Mobil 1 full synthetic.  Never had an issue with this truck and it always get compliments when I drive it.  Decent mileage for a full size with a the V8, 17mpg around town and 22mpg on trips.   This used to be my daily driver until I started working from home.  Just don't drive it much anymore and need the garage space for other projects.  If you have any questions feel free to contact me.  Please only serous buyers.

GM to make most cars LTE hotspots for 2015

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

General Motors isn't the first automaker to deliver in-car Internet access, but a proposed plan announced today could make the technology more widespread than any of its competitors have offered. By the 2015 model year, most Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC products in the US and Canada will offer 4G LTE mobile broadband access. Initially, GM will just be pairing with AT&T to deliver this service, but additional carriers will be revealed in the future.
Current in-car Wi-Fi hot spots are limited to 3G, but GM says that 4G LTE is 10 times faster than 3G service and will allow for full Internet access, including streaming video for entertainment as well as services like real-time traffic updates and navigation driving directions. There is also no need for a paired smartphone with this new system, which should make it easier to use, and GM and AT&T will also be working together to develop new apps for customers.
Buyers can expect to start seeing 4G LTE in their cars starting next year, and GM is already planning to expand the service to other global markets as well. All of the information from GM's announcement is posted in a press release below.

GM's fullsize SUVs boost highway mileage by nearly 10 percent

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

We met the redesigned 2015 versions of the Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, and the GMC Yukon and Yukon XL at the 2013 LA Auto Show. Improved gas mileage numbers have been announced to go along with the improved exteriors and interiors, with city mileage improving by seven percent and highway mileage going up by nearly ten percent; you'll now get 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 on the highway.
The only applies to models with the 5.3-liter engine, though, not the premium Yukon Denali and Yukon XL Denali SUVs with the 6.2-liter motor. Still, the 5.3 gets you more power than previously, with 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque underfoot, on top of the improved fuel economy numbers. The 6.2-liter sticks with official mpg ratings of 15 highway, 21 city. There's a brief press release below with words straight from the horse's mouth.

2015 Chevy Canyon, GMC Colorado to net up to 27 mpg with 4-cylinder

Mon, 22 Sep 2014

Before even officially going on sale to customers, the GMC Canyon and Chevrolet Colorado midsize pickup twins are already proving to be a success with dealer orders exceeding original projections. Now, there is even more good news for these siblings, with the fuel economy for their four-cylinder engines netting class-leading numbers and the 3.6-liter V6 getting segment-best payload ratings.
The 2.5-liter four-cylinder in the two trucks makes 200 horsepower and 191 pound-feet of torque, and in rear-wheel drive and six-speed manual trim it has an EPA rating of 19 mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined. Opting for a two-wheel drive configuration with the six-speed automatic bumps those figures slightly to 20 mpg city, 27 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined. Finally, a four-wheel drive model with the automatic 'box carries a 19/25/21 rating. Those numbers are a tick better here and there compared to what's offered by the optional V6.
The twins' major four-cylinder, midsize pickup rivals are the Toyota Tacoma and Nissan Frontier, but they're both getting somewhat long in the tooth. To compare fuel economy and power, a two-wheel drive Tacoma with its 2.7-liter four-cylinder is rated at 159 hp and 180 lb-ft, and achieves 21/25/22 mpg. The Frontier with its 2.5-liter four-cylinder is good for 152 hp and 171 lb-ft, and carries 19/23/21 mpg figures.
