2005 GMC Sierra Denali 1500
Original Owner
Clean title

Description: All wheel drive, automatic transmission, 6.0L V8 engine. Power everything. Bose sound system, moon roof, chrome running boards, Onstar with integrated phone, limo tinted windows rear, 25% tint front driver and passenger, CD player with separate 6 disc CD player, $400 bed cover, heated leather seats, and dual climate control. 500 miles on new tires that cost me $850. 24" rims are included with the truck which were about $3000 when I got them. Truck has undergone full service. Front and rear differential serviced, transmission flushed, brand new brake pads and rotors. Truck is mechanically sound and in good condition. Original owner with title in hand.

Known issues: The rear bumper has a few dings and there is a small ding on the passenger rear door that is hard to see. The 6 disc CD changer will need to be reprogrammed, it won't eject CD's. I've had this happen to me before, GM tech said it had something to do with the formats burned CD's had confusing the CD changer. I just haven't had time to take it in. Also, the passenger front door speaker is out. It took me a while to notice it. I don't believe it is blown. I've read in threads online that there is a cable that comes loose over time and it's notorious in GM suv's and trucks. Should be an easy fix. If you're curious, replacement speakers are $40 online. The rear passenger door reflector is missing. I've had to replace it before for some reason. They're about $3 at the dealership. The passenger seat power control cap is also missing. Should be able to easily replace the plastic cap. Other than that, the truck is in good condition!

Financing: eBay has a good financing company if you are considering that option. Click on "low monthly payments" below the price to apply. They offer up to 72 months and as low as 1.99% financing.

Transportation: Buyer will be responsible for pick up or delivery arrangements. eBay offers a few transportation companies but I've heard really good things about Riteway Auto Transports. (ritewayautotransports.com) if you are interested. Ask for Pete.

Payment: $500 deposit via paypal is required within 24 hrs. Remaining balance due within 7 days. Accepting only cash, certified funds, or bank wires.

Will consider offers. Truck is also listed locally on criagslist and in the photo ad. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!

GM recalling 54k Cadillac SRX, HD pickup models

Thu, 01 May 2014

There are more recalls to report General Motors, but these latest actions pertain to newer examples of the Cadillac SRX, Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD. With so much scrutiny on the company's recall strategy, GM is under increasing pressure to call in defective models more quickly, and it appears to be doing so here.
Here in the US, the automaker is recalling 50,571 Cadillac SRX crossovers from the 2013 model year fitted with the 3.6-liter V6 because the transmission control module programming can cause a three- or four-second lag in acceleration at low speeds. The explanation filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration states, "if the following sequence occurs within two seconds: during an upshift from first to second gear (8-10 mph), the driver then brakes the vehicle to less than 5 mph, and then accelerates again," the delay can occur. According to Automotive News, the recall effects 56,400 vehicles worldwide, and the company is not aware of any crashes caused by the problem. The fix consists of a transmission control module (TCM) reflash.
In a separate recall, GM is repairing 51 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD pickups from the 2015 model year in the US. In vehicles with diesel engines and dual fuel tanks, the nuts that connect the fuel pipe to each side of the transfer pump between the tanks may be improperly torqued, which could cause a fuel leak. Obviously, this could be a fire hazard. The remedy is simply tightening the hardware. According to GM spokesperson Alan Adler, there have been no fires actually caused by the potential leak. "Only 21 of the trucks are in customer possession and they can be fixed anytime because there are no parts involved. The others are being fixed at dealerships," Adler said in an email to Autoblog.

GM can't keep up with most popular pickup orders

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

With the market for pickup trucks at its best since before the recession, General Motors can't afford any hiccups with the launch of its new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra twins, but it sounds like the popularity of V8-powered trucks is causing some supply-chain issues. Bloomberg reports that GM is experiencing a shortage of 5.3-liter V8 engines because an unnamed parts supplier has been unable to keep up with demand. This is leading GM to restrict the number of V8 Silverado and Sierra trucks that Chevrolet and GMC dealers are allowed to order.
Although it's unclear how long it will take to resolve the parts shortage, GM doesn't have much time to sort it out, as a new Ford F-150 looms on the horizon. At launch, GM's fullsize trucks were offered only with a base 4.3-liter V6 and the 5.3-liter V8, but a burlier 6.2-liter V8 will be available soon. Interestingly, at least at the moment, GM truck buyers don't seem as willing to downsize to V6 power as buyers of the F-150, which gets some 42-percent of its sales from trucks equipped with its EcoBoost V6 engine (not including the normally aspirated base V6).
Working out the kinks in the Silverado and Sierra's supply chain couldn't be more important to the health of the company. Full-size pickups are a huge profit driver - in 2012, the trucks were said to make up about two-third of GM's total profits.

Chevy Express 1500, GMC Savana 1500 get the axe

Tue, 15 Jul 2014

Fans of truck-based, light-duty vans can officially pour one out for the Chevrolet Express 1500 and GMC Savana 1500, as General Motors has officially put its long-serving big/little rigs out to pasture. Things aren't quite as sad as they sound, though. The heavier-duty 2500 and 3500 vans will soldier on, in order to duke it out with the largest members of Ram ProMaster, Ford Transit and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter families.
The move does seem to make a lot of sense. According to GM, customers only purchase the 1500-spec Chevrolet 23 percent of the time, while the GMC captures a mere 7 percent of the Savana family's sales. With numbers like that, it's no shock that GM thinks it can shift some of its buyers into its van family's more capable variants. "We knew we could move a lot of our 1500 customers into 2500-series territory," said GM's Joe Langhauser, the product manager for the company's full-size vans.
It's not just simple sales figures dictating the move, though. The 1500 line is taking up some valuable factory space that will be better spent on an eagerly anticipated new product.
