1996 Savana 2500 Gmc V8 Newer Engine & Transmission on 2040-cars
Huntsburg, Ohio, United States
This is a 1996 2500 GMC with a V8 350. This truck runs extremely well mechanically considering most parts have been replaced and are newer then the truck itself. Although mechanically it is in very good shape, the body on it is far from it. That is why i am thinking someone could make a lot of money parting it out or use the parts for there existing truck, or use it as a dependable beater for there business. Comes with a clean title.
Motor: 1999 which has aprox 60,000 miles less then odometer. Had a brand new transmission, and radiator installed 3-4 years ago. Spare Tire Cable is new. Main Engine computer replaced 2-3 years ago. Left Turn signal does not work. No air condition. Heater fan only works on high. Comes with Hitch 14.9 Miles to the gallon, 30 gallon tank. New brake lines, calipers and shoes within a year. Good front tires and new rear tired. New Battery 2012. Stater and power steering replaced 1-2 years ago. Drivers window handle is broke off. Front doors work great. One of the side doors has a broken hinge, other works great. Back doors have no latch, both open and close fine, but one of the hinges on the right side needs replaced. Body is pretty rusted. Drivers seat isn't in the greatest condition. Starts right away no problems mechanically. Shipping: I will not provide any shipping, local pick up is mostly prefered although if you wish to have it shipped i will work with your shipping company if you make all arrangements. I have nothing to hide on this truck. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to message and thanks for looking! |

GM announces 6 recalls covering nearly 720k cars
Wed, 23 Jul 2014General Motors has announced yet another sprawling recall campaign, with six separate elements covering 717,950 vehicles on US roads. At this point in 2014, it's starting to seem like there are more days with a GM recall than without. Perhaps most troubling about this latest volley, though, is that every vehicle is from the past few years, indicating that GM's quality woes may not be limited to pre-bankruptcy vehicles.
The largest element of this latest campaign covers 414,333 units, and includes the 2011 to 2012 Chevrolet Camaro, 2010 to 2012 Chevy Equinox, GMC Terrain and Cadillac SRX and the 2011 to 2012 Buick Regal and LaCrosse. Only vehicles with powered, height-adjustable seats are covered. In these particular cars and crossovers, the bolt that secures the height adjuster actuator may loosen of its own accord and in some cases fall out completely. If this happens, the seats will be able to move both up and down. GM claims the vehicles are safe to drive, provided drivers don't vertically adjust their seats. This particular issue has caused one crash and three injuries.

WI dealer under fire for selling new GMC to dying, blind 89-year-old WWII vet [w/video]
Thu, 14 Mar 2013
You know, people, getting through this life from one end to the other in one piece really does require just one rule: don't be a prick. If you ever find yourself in a situation of dubious moral standing, take a step back and ask yourself, "Am I being a prick to any person or thing?" If the answer is "yes," then stop what you're doing, apologize and go home. One dealership in Wisconsin could possibly have benefitted from that course of action when it reportedly helped David McMurray con his elderly and disabled parents into buying a brand-new $42,000 GMC Terrain for his use.
According to local news reports, a representative from Palmen Motors visited Harold and Christen Thomsen's home to collect signatures for a loan agreement three weeks before the 89-year-old, legally blind Harold passed away. The World War II veteran was on morphine and in hospice when he signed for the GMC, and his 90-year-old wife suffers from dementia. Even so, upon being discovered, the dealer initially said everything was done "legally." According to Barb Tinkler, McMurray's sister, the sale was a scam that remained hidden until he was busted for an unrelated criminal charge.
2013 GMC Acadia Denali
Wed, 05 Jun 2013Refreshed, Not Refreshing
I'm probably ill-suited to accurately and fairly take the full measure of a vehicle like the 2013 GMC Acadia Denali. This is a machine conjured around the express notion of corralling and then herding a brood of rafter-swinging hatchlings to and fro in relative comfort, and with no such passel of wee Bowmans to call my own, it's difficult to give this rig a fair shake. While I can certainly weigh cargo capacity, legroom and fuel economy stats with the best of them, I'd be lying to your face if I said the word "crossover" didn't urge some uncontrollable Pavlovian recoil from the murky recesses of my frame. To put it simply, I just can't stand the damn things.
As a rule, the segment is built on a bed of compromise. Manufacturers love nothing more than to spin up a tired yarn about the virtues of this particular neck of the market. We're told the crossbreeds deliver all the ride quality, driving dynamics and fuel economy of a car married with the seating position, capability and interior volume of the SUV set. That all sounds as swell as a sunset, but as the 2013 Acadia Denali so artfully illustrates, the advertising on the box is rarely congruous with the prize inside. Even with an imaginary squad of younglings at my heels, the refreshed luxury crossover doesn't quite manage to scratch the promised itches.
