Chagrin Falls, Ohio, United States

Second owner, bought the vehicle from the original owner in 2010 where it spent its whole life barn kept and daily driven in southern Ohio. When I bought the truck it needed some TLC, here is a quick list.

Shocks were dead, replaced with lifetime Rancho's
Fuel pump is six months old
Tailgate window was stuck closed so I removed it and rebuilt the whole thing (currently works well)
New exhaust including catalytic converter
New rims, chrome accents trim and tires (about half life left)
Brakes all around are rebuilt
Sound system was crappy paper cone type, fully replaced with Sony head unit and Infinity speakers

Eventually needs depending on what you consider need:

-Alignment
-Paint is sun damaged bad and will need to be resprayed if you feel the need, I have painted hood, roof and tailgate. (paint included)
-Ohio truck, metal under seats and cross member is rotting. I bought the truck with this issue, it has not gotten worse and has not caused an issue. I tow with it, and drive it regularly but who ever buys should be aware; I included images of problem area.
-Fuel door spring broke; replacements I have tried don't fit right so I drive it with out one. (have original)
-Front speaker install: I put the rears in but the fronts need a hole to go in, I couldn't bring myself to do it, maybe you can. Speakers are brand new and come with the truck.
-Park brake light is stuck on though the brake is not active.
-Engine temp gauge has been broke since I bought it, can not figure out why, no overheating issues.

I may be forgetting a few minor things, please ask first and message me if you would like to see the vehicle. I have no problem meeting you to show the vehicle or answering your questions; truck has no warranty and is being sold as-is.

Pictures are from this summer, Thank you very much for looking.

GM appears to repurpose Saturn Outlook parts on new Acadia

Thu, 09 Feb 2012

General Motors unveiled the company's refreshed GMC Acadia at the 2012 Chicago Auto Show yesterday, and if you were paying attention, you may have noticed something curious about the vehicle. While the new Acadia looks considerably better than its predecessor, a few components of the design looked more than a little familiar. Upon closer observation, it appears that GM has simply repurposed elements of the now defunct Saturn Outlook crossover on the 2013 Acadia. Both vehicles seem to share the same wrap-around rear glass, back hatch, tail light openings and exaggerated, squared-off fender arches.
While the vehicles are differentiated by badging, tail lamps and a rear valance, there's no denying the similarities toward the vehicle's rear. Up front, both share similar fenders, though adjustments have been made for the varying headlight designs.
That's good news if you just can't imagine life without the Saturn Outlook.

2015 GMC Yukon Denali

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Automotive enthusiasts often wonder aloud - ourselves included - why General Motors would choose to keep GMC while sending Pontiac (and Saturn, and even Oldsmobile before it) into the great automotive graveyard in the sky. The answer, as is so often the case, is profit. It's much easier for GM to rake in money hand over fist by rejiggering the trucks, crossovers and SUVs that it would already be developing for Chevrolet and making them a bit more luxurious and *ahem* "Professional Grade" with new grilles, badges and unique packaging for GMC.
While it may sound like we're being cynical, we totally approve of GM's fullsize SUV strategy. The least-expensive way to get into the fold is with the Chevrolet Tahoe, which starts at $45,595 with a 5.3-liter V8 engine and a cloth interior. Bumping that same Chevy to LTZ trim and its $59,995 sticker price lands a much nicer leather-clad interior and more techno-bells and whistles than you can shake a stick at. But it still looks like a Tahoe, and it still comes with the smaller 5.3-liter engine. Or, you could do what we'd do: Walk into your GMC dealer and take a look at the Yukon Denali. Here's why.

Weekly Recap: Auto execs face life in prison for recall delays under proposed legislation

Sat, 09 Aug 2014

The stiff punishments are part of broader transportation legislation, but clearly McCaskill has automakers in her sights.
Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill threw down the gauntlet this week, proposing a bill that could send auto executives to prison for life if they were found to have delayed a recall. She also wants to eliminate the limit for fines for auto safety violations, which are currently capped at $35 million.
