1971 71 Ford Torino Brougham 1641 Original Miles on 2040-cars

1971 Torino Brougham. This car is like no other you will ever find. Basically the whole car is NOS  It has 1641 miles on it. Yes I said 1641 miles this car is truly museum quality.  It was bought in Aug 1971 driven for a month then wrecked in the left front. It was then taken straight to a heated paint shop covered up and left for 43 years. It has never been wet so the whole underneath of the car is brand new all fitting underneath are as shiny as they were from the factory. The car also has never been in the sun so their is no sun fade anywhere on it. The motor has been stared three times since 1971 last started a month ago with ease like a brand new car. The motor has the original oil, air filter, antifreeze still in it. The only thing that has ever been done to it had the dust wiped off of it carefully. The interior is the same way absolutely perfect. The steering wheel looks like it has never been touched and the seats look like they have never been sat in. The only damage inside is on the lower dash where his left knee hit it in the wreck. The vinyl top is still in perfect condition their is a dent in the top that should pop right out. The paint would need to be redone I think because over the years as it sat in the corner, overspray from the paint shop found its way to it and the paint should look as good as the underneath and the interior. The trunk of the car is also absolutely perfect. Has all original tires and hubcaps and bumper jack. What it will need to be fixed left fender drivers door hood and grilles and bumper. I still have the drivers door so all the window hardware is their. I have always called this the Jay Leno car because of its factory condition.  If this car does not sell I will be parting it out because these parts are worth a ton. I know cobra people would love to have the body and floors out of it. I hope someone gets it and puts it in a museum where it belongs. Feel free to call with any other questions.859-339-4113

Ford Mustang pinball machine has supple wrist, plays by sense of smell [w/video]

Fri, 07 Feb 2014

Ford didn't have anything major to show off at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, so it seems it instead opted to have some fun - it brought a row of pinball machines to the show. Yes, pinball machines.
We originally told you about the Stern Pinball Ford Mustang machine a few days ago, and as day two of the Chicago show is a bit of a slow one, we opted to head to the show floor and get some snaps of the bank of new machines. Not surprisingly, there's plenty for the Mustang fan in each of these machines, ranging frond different models, to logos to a full model.
Take a look below for our full gallery of live shots, available up top. Then head below for our original gallery of stock images, along with a video and press release on the new machines.

2014 Ford Fiesta ST priced from $21,400* [w/poll]

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

The 2014 model year brings a whole host of changes to Ford's Fiesta B-Segment fighter, the most important of which (to our enthusiast eyes, anyway) is the addition of a potent new ST model. The US-spec hot hatch was first shown at the 2012 Los Angeles Auto Show last November, and thanks to Ford's build-and-price site, we've now learned that the Fiesta ST will slide in at $21,400 when it goes on sale later this year (*not including $795 for destination).
Under the hood of the ST is a turbocharged 1.6-liter EcoBoost inline-four good for 197 horsepower and 214 pound-feet of torque, mated solely to a six-speed manual transmission. Ford hasn't released performance data on its pint-sized puncher just yet, but know that these numbers make the Fiesta ST ever-so-slightly more powerful than the larger Volkswagen GTI while returning an estimated 34 miles per gallon on the highway.
Elsewhere in the lineup, the standard Fiesta also gets a smattering of improvements for the 2014 model year, including a new 1.0-liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine and revised exterior styling. Pricing for the 2014 Fiesta sedan starts at $14,000, with the five-door model adding $600 to that number (again excluding the $795 destination fee).

2015 Ford Mustang Convertible shown on Twitter [UPDATE w/video]

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

It hasn't yet been 12 hours since the hotly anticipated 2015 Ford Mustang has been let out into public view. After a series of evocative leaks over the course of the last days, we brought you a full deep dive of the sixth-generation pony car at the dawning of today. And yet, here we are rushing to bring you news of a new Mustang variant, already.
Be it part of a plan to keep the Mustang fervor at full boil, or a misunderstood email somewhere in the chain of command, Ford UK has unceremoniously tweeted a picture of the 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible. For a newly global Mustang, getting our first look at the droptop from the convertible-crazy British does make some amount of sense.
As for details, well, you're looking at them. Brandon Turkus reported yesterday that the Mustang 'vert would make use of a fully electric convertible mechanism, and that it would be of fabric construction rather than some kind of retractable hardtop. We see here that the fabric part is clearly true, and it does look as though Ford may still be employing the same kind of manually attached tonneau cover that exists right now. Of course, our view from this angle isn't great, and the particulars are still up in the air.
