THIS IS A VERY CLEAN ONE OWNER ORIGINAL SURVIVOR! IT HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY SINCE NEW! MY STEP MOTHER'S FATHER BOUGHT IT FOR HER WHEN SHE GRADUATED COLLEGE. THE ENGINE, TRANS, REAREND, AND BODY PANELS ARE ALL ORIGINAL. 98% OF THE PAINT AND 100% OF THE INTERIOR IS ORININAL!
MY FATHER MAINTAINED THIS CAR RELIGOUSLY AND IT WAS STORED INSIDE ALMOST ITS WHOLE EXISTANCE UNTIL RECENTLY (I JUST DON'T HAVE THE ROOM). THE INTERIOR IS IN REMARKABLE CONDITION BECAUSE OF NOT BEING IN THE SUN. NO CRACKS IN THE DASH, CARPET AND SEATS GOOD, AND ONLY ONE SMALL REPAIR IN THE HEADLINER BY THE SUN VISOR.
EXCEPT FOR REGULAR UPKEEP (BELTS,HOSES, MUFFLER, TIRES ETC.) THE ONLY ENGINE WORK I KNOW OF WAS THE TIMING GEARS WERE REPLACED SOMETIME IN THE 70'S.
ALSO SOMETIME IN THE 70'S THE CAR GOT SOME DAMAGE ON THE L.REAR QUARTER PANEL WHILE IN A PARKING LOT. THE PANEL WAS NOT BAD ENOUGH TO REPLACE, JUST NEEDED BODY WORK (WHICH WASN'T PERFECT). IN THE 80'S I HELPED MY DAD TAKE THE FENDERS OFF AND REPAIR SOME RUST THAT WAS STARTING ON THE LOWER REAR OF THE FENDERS. THOSE ARE THE ONLY BODY REPAIRS I KNOW OF. THE FLOORS ARE SOLID (JUST SURFACE RUST). MOST ALL THE REST OF THE PAINT AND DECALS ARE ORIGINAL.
MY PARENTS LAST TAGGED THE CAR IN 1995 AND IT WAS STORED IN AN ENCLOSED CARPORT UNTIL I RECIEVED IT IN 2008. THE BRAKES WERE LOCKED UP AND THE TIRES WERE DRY ROTTED AND THE GAS WAS BAD. AT THAT TIME I REPLACED THE WHEEL CYLINDERS, PUT GOOD GAS IN IT AND BOUGHT NEW COOPER TIRES. I THEN PARKED IT IN MY GARAGE UNTIL A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO. I AGAIN HAD TO FLUSH THE TANK, THEN REPLACE THE FUEL PUMP, AND REBUILD THE CARB. IT NOW RUNS AND DRIVES AS GREAT AS I REMEMBERED YEARS AGO.
THIS CAR ONLY HAS 90,785 ACTUAL MILES ON IT AND IT IS A SHAME IT ISN'T DRIVEN REGULARLY. AFTER ALOT OF THOUGHT I'VE DESIDED TO SELL THE CAR.
YOU CAN FLY IN AND DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY OR I CAN DELIVER IT IN THE U.S. FOR $1.50 A LOADED MILE (ONE WAY).
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL MIKE @ 479-238-1122 OR 479-228-4304. PLEASE DO NOT HIT THE "BUY IT NOW" UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS TO PAY AND CALL ME FIRST! I FIND THAT SERIOUS BUYER'S WILL ALMOST ALWAYS CALL. THANKS, MIKE

Ford Figo concept unveiled in India
Mon, 03 Feb 2014Ford has officially unveiled the Figo Concept at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi. While it may wear a concept badge, we'd argue this little sedan, which is under 12 feet long, looks ready to replace the current Figo and do battle with other B-segment cars in the world's emerging markets.
"With the Figo Concept, we are showing that choosing a compact sedan does not mean compromising on premium design or smart solutions," said Kumar Galhotra, Ford's VP of engineering, global product development. That premium design includes Ford's familial, trapezoidal grille and Fusion-esque headlights in front, while the rear end reminds us of the last-generation Focus Coupe. While that car wasn't exactly attractive, the chopped off tail looks pretty nice on this smaller car. And if you really don't like the looks of the Figo Concept, just remember - it looks better than the current production model. Aerodynamically, the Figo's shape is quite slippery, which means reduced wind noise and improved fuel economy.
As for the "smart solutions" touted by Galhotra, the narrow confines of Indian streets make driving even the tiniest cars a challenge. To give the Figo Concept a one-up on the competition, Ford has fitted power-folding mirrors that sport a "flexible architecture," which should stand up well to bumps from cars, people or bikes. We don't have any interior images, but Ford is promising a large cabin, that includes a dock that can accommodate a phone or MP3 player, allowing either to be controlled through the car.
Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:
Ford Transit customs ready to work for SEMA
Fri, 31 Oct 2014Ford's booth at the SEMA Show this year looks to have two, big themes. The Blue Oval is bringing over a dozen takes on the 2015 Mustang to the event, and it's now also announcing five customized versions on the 2015 Transit to join the modded pony cars. Each of the vans shows off a different use for the spacious commercial vehicle, from plush luxury to offroad ruggedness.
You probably don't think of the Transit as hitting the trails, but that's just what the take on the design from the Vegas Off-Road Experience (pictured above) is for. The company gives people the opportunity to drive a desert race truck, and this custom is meant to drive them to events. It should be able to take on the terrain a little better with off-road wheels and tires and fender flares, but inside passengers get serious luxury thanks to a 60-inch LED TV and video game systems.
Alternatively the blazing red Designed Travel Transit (right) is all about long road trips. The interior features four captain's chairs with heating, cooling and massage functions, and there's a 4K 50-inch TV to watch. For a touch of added class, the floor is made from hickory.
