1968 FORD GRAND TORINO GT CONVERTIBLE.

Has been garaged since I bought it about 5 years ago. Only had about 2500miles put on in that period.

Has new paint, good top, near new tires, and great looking interior. Dash does have a split at the base of the windshield about the center. This is a great driver but  NOT A SHOW CAR.

Has a very strong 302 which I believe was rebuilt just prior to my purchase. It has Edelbrock intake and carb.  Runs great and gets decent gas mileage.  Automatic trans shifts fine too.

Has power top, power steering, and power disc brakes from the factory.  The speedo reads 91,775 but I cannot verify it. This is a safe, and dependable car. While seems to be cold blooded (like most Fords), really has alot of pep and lots of fun to drive. Gets lots of looks when going down the road.  Radio works good as does the top. Just had a new windshield put it due to rock chips.

If you are looking for a fun weekend ride, this is it.    Even the exhaust sounds great.

Ford doubling 1.0L EcoBoost engine production

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

Ford's 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine hasn't been around that long, but it sounds like the engine is getting to be fairly popular in the automaker's global car lineup. The Detroit News is reporting that Ford has add a second shift that will allow its German engine plant to double daily output from 500 engines to 1,000.
The increased capacity is part of a plan to sell more than 300,000 vehicles a year with this engine in Europe by 2015. Europe is currently the only market where the smallest of the EcoBoost engines is offered (including in the Focus pictured above), but US-spec Fiesta models will be getting this mill for 2014.
Three-cylinder engines are expected to continue to grow in popularity in coming years with the report indicating that global production of these engines will double by 2018 to 9.8 million units. General Motors, BMW and Mitsubishi are all expected to introduce three-cylinder engines in the near term, as well.

Ford Explorer Jackson Pollock Edition results in trip to hospital

Tue, 02 Jul 2013

Among the many useful pieces of driving advice we've taken to heart over the years, "Safely secure all cargo" is etched pretty high on our personal stone tablets. We've had a couple of frustrating moments over the years (numerous wonky cupholders and too-tall lidded cups; a radar detector that released its suction cups and dashed itself below the dashboard, etc.), but never anything like the scene above.
These photos above come courtesy of the Washington State Patrol, and they show the unfortunate aftermath of a driver, his dog, and his Ford Explorer after it crashed near the town of Belfair last week. According to reports, the man was schlepping five-gallon containers of paint inside his vehicle when he was involved in an unexplained accident. It's not clear what triggered the crash, but the impromptu abstract painting covered the whole of the interior, including the driver and his faithful companion.
The man was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries, and his dog was cleaned and later taken to a humane society.

"It's about some of the biggest crises in history. It's about who did it right and who did it wrong." - Jason Vines
Jason Vines, the former head of public relations at Chrysler, Ford and Nissan, has seen a lot during his more than 30-year career, and now he's offering a behind-the-scenes look at the auto industry in his tell-all book What Did Jesus Drive? that went on sale this month.
