The condition of the exterior, interior and engine can vary depending on the vehicle's history. See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Condition is excellent, with only one dent on the body that I could see (shown in photos) and some light, virtually unnoticeable scratches in the paint. The interior is in pristine condition and the leather is flawless. There are hard-water stains on the passenger side of the vehicle from sprinklers that are virtually invisible on the paint, but show up a little on the passenger-side windows. The conventional products used were not able to entirely take the spots off, but a more powerful product should be able to. The driver's-side rear window motor appears to be broken, as it does not respond to either the driver's switch or to the switch on the door itself. All other power windows work fine. The spare tire is a bit rusty (see pics), but still appears fully functional."

This is a listing for a 2003 Ford Taurus SES. It is fully loaded, with a pristine leather interior, and is fitted with the optional 200 hp Duratec 30 V6 engine (standard V6 produces only 155 hp). The only thing that isn't premium is the sound system, which is the standard Taurus radio/CD system. Extremely low mileage for a decade-old car, only 61,000 miles, and it has been regularly maintained, with complete maintenance/oil change records going back to August of 2007. Original owner's manual is included as well. Here is some of the most recent maintenance that has been performed on the vehicle:

  • 2/16/2013: New battery, new rear brakes, flushed and changed brake fluid.
  • 7/13/2013: Bought two new tires, rotated tires, aligned all wheels.
  • 7/16/2013: Changed engine coolant.
  • 8/28/2013: Replaced A/C compressor.

Shelby GT500 laps N"urburgring in under 7:40?

Wed, 30 Oct 2013

A couple of weeks ago we brought you footage and official times of the new Chevy Camaro Z/28 lapping the Nürburgring. With a 7:37.47 lap time, the Z/28 emerged as the fastest muscle car ever to lap the circuit. But what was missing from that picture was how fast the king of all Mustangs, the Shelby GT500, could manage to lap the Nordschleife.
Ford never released any information or footage of the GT500 on the Nürburgring that we were aware of - that is, until the guys at SVTPerformance.com put in a request for Mustang videos. Among the clips they received was never-seen, in-car footage of the Shelby GT500 lapping the circuit. And boy did it hustle.
Although not quite official, the video seems to show the GT500 lapped the venerated German track in a touch under 7:40. That would make it a tick or two faster than the Camaro ZL1 - but what of the Z/28? By Chevy's quoted time, the Z/28 is still faster than the GT500, but SVTPerformance suggests GM may have fudged the numbers a bit and scrubbed half a second or so off their lap time.

Ford pits The Stig against Gran Turismo 6 in Focus ST Goodwood run

Thu, 03 Jul 2014

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is one of the world great automotive gatherings. So, it was the perfect event for Ford to give the refreshed 2015 Focus ST its world debut in front of a loving public. It even surprised us with a new diesel-powered version, as well.
The Blue Oval really put its focus on making the ST a better driver for this refresh. It left its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder alone to still pump out a respectable 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The changes like a retuned front suspension, electric power steering and improved interior made the hot hatch an even better place to spend time behind the wheel.
To prove that the Focus ST is still as potent as ever, Ford set up a one-on-one race up the Goodwood Hill. But instead of putting the two cars side-by-side, former Stig from Top Gear UK, Ben Collins, piloted the real model up the course, and his rival drove the virtual version in Gran Turismo 6. The two hot hatches set off at the same time to see whether reality could beat the virtual world, and the finish was actually extremely close. Scroll down to watch the video and find out the winner of this battle at Goodwood.

Watch how Ken Block spent his weekend in Barbados

Thu, 22 May 2014

Regardless of what you think of his skill as a racer, Ken Block is an expert showman. At this point, he has a career of showing up around the world to do vehicular stunts, and he's still able to go racing as well. It's a pretty sweet niche to carve out. Recently, Block was in Barbados to participate in Top Gear Live and the first event of the Global Rallycross Championship season, and Ford Racing produced a short video to show off his exploits.
It looked like a great show. Block got to race Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes-Benz Formula One car and had a very weird crash during a Rallycross race that put his Ford Fiesta on its roof. Top Gear also released an extended look at Block and Hamilton's spectacle with the two of them expertly sliding around. Scroll down to watch the videos and get a taste of Block's tropical racing adventure.
