I have for your consideration this 1993 Ford Ranger STX Extended Cab 4X4. We are liquidating this out for an estate. We are told that the mileage is original and I have no reason not to believe them but I am not personally guaranteeing that as it was not my vehicle. We have put 200 miles on it and it drives great! No rust or accidents. We just put brand new 31 x 10.50 R 15 all terrain tires on it (original size to the vehicle) at a cost of over $600 from Discount Tire. That includes the road hazzard coverage. The push button four wheel drive works as it should. The air conditioning even blows ice cold. Non smoker vehicle. Cruise control works as well as everything else. There is a detachable face JVC cd stereo in it. No rips or tears in the interior. The truck is super clean including the under carriage. There is a tonneau cover as well. You just do not see these in this condition. I am going to let you folks decide its value as I am starting this no reserve auction at just $.99! The truck is located in Fenton Michigan zip code 48430 for viewing and or a test drive. The truck is for sale locally and will not be shipped unless it is paid for in advance with cash or certified funds. The winning bidder is responsible for all costs and arrangements. The Blue Oval has released the first of five teaser videos on the brand's performance heritage, and aside from some great images of racers over the years, the video includes a series of teaser images, the last of which points to November 17, 2014.
That's the day before press days open in LA, and considering the propensity of global automakers to plan lavish debuts the night before a major international auto show, it's a virtual certainty that Ford will be showing off some sort of special vehicle.
That'd be news in and of itself, but based on the images shown in Ford's teaser video - which include an Alcantara steering wheel, a "Powered by Ford" valve cover, aluminum pedals, sticky tires, a big, round exhaust tip, a honeycomb grille and a serious set of wheels - it seems very likely that Ford will be showing something performance oriented.
Ford hiring 800 more salaried workers than originally expected
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Ford is on a roll this year, with excellent quarterly earnings and better-than-expected vehicle sales leading to 800 more job opportunities with the Blue Oval. In January, Ford announced that it wanted to hire 2,200 salaried employees, but, since then, that figure has been revised to 3,000, representing a 36-percent increase over original projections. About 1,500 of those jobs remain, 80 percent of which are technical professional positions.
"Engineers and technical professionals are in as much demand as our cars, trucks and SUVs," says Felicia Fields, Ford Group Vice President for Human Resources. Helping to spur this job growth are increasing market share on both the West and East Coast and robust demand for the Ford Escape and F-150.
To find job candidates, Ford is reaching out to them via Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, in addition to the company's corporate career site. The Blue Oval is also ramping up its presence on college campuses.
