Here's what I can offer you. The car was bought new on September 12, 1969 from Monahan Ford Corporation of Flushing, New York. I have to envolope with the owners manual and warranty cards when it was delivered. I bought it from a man who acquired it in the mid 90's and restored it to its present state. I hold a VA title that shows 70,495 actual miles but I only assume that to be the true miles. The car has some rust on the undercarriage and a few blisters in the paint on the tailgate and  bottom of the right hand front fender. The gas gauge is inoperable and the transmission has a fluid leak. I have not done much to identify the problems. I did have a very knowledgable Ranchero owner look at the car and claimed it was fair priced at 5K for the condition both good and bad. The car is a good Sunday driver and easy to maintain as a basic car would be. I get thumbs up and compliments every time I drive it some place. The car has the original  289 but a '83 intake and 4 barrel was added.  It has an Pertronix ignition module to rid the pesky points system. It is a 4 wheel drum brake non power assist but does have power steering. No A/C. The bed has some dents (inside) where it was used like a truck but no rust through. It was also painted at the same time.  Air shocks and a 9" rear end with 3:00 to I axle.  I believe this car is capable of making an extended road trip with little to no problems. I drive it on interstates and boulevards  around here without much concern.

The car was painted a late model Ford Caymen Green in the late 90's. It is a base coat/clear coat process and not the original color. All jams and under hood sprayed and shows no trace of original color. The car has GT badging in the grill and GT wheels.  Also aftermarket mirrors were install recently. Again this is a cruiser not a correct show car.

I can take any picture if you need to see something particular. I don't believe the car will lose value if kept in the current condition, If anything perhaps increase. I need about 8K to build a race motor for my modified is the reason for the sale. But I have the modified up for sale too. So if that gets sold I want need a motor and will keep the Ranchero.

I represent this item to be in the described condition, However item is sold AS-IS. Please contact me if you have any questions so to make an informed bid.

I will require a $250 Non Refundable within 24 hours of the end of the auction. Understand that by bidding, you are effecting to contract. I want to sell the car and I want the buyer to be happy with their purchase. I will do my very best to make this transaction an excellent one. If you bid, you will be expected to pay. If the car disappoints you to such a degree at personal pick up, we will try to resolve that at that time. If it is picked up by a shipper, then you own it.

Vehicle is for sale locally and auction may end if sold.

Good luck

Ford Explorer gets appearance pack for 2015

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

Remember when Ford launched the totally new Explorer in late 2010, and people were skeptical about how the now-crossover would fare, after ditching its traditional SUV roots? Well, we're several years in, and I think we can assuredly say that Ford made the right decision. Sales are better than ever (in fact, May was the current Explorer's best month yet), and the crossover is finding its way into the hands of a whole host of new Ford buyers.
A wholly refreshed Explorer is still forthcoming, but to keep its strong-selling crossover fresh, Ford is offering a host of improvements for the 2015 model year, including the attractive appearance package available on the XLT trim level, pictured above. Outside, the pack gets you goodies like 20-inch machined aluminum wheels, black bodyside cladding and roof rack rails. Contrasting Magnetic Metallic accents are found on the grille, mirror caps and liftgate appliqué, and there's an "Explorer" hood badge and body-colored door handles. Inside, there are new Miko suede inserts in the seats, and the package includes the automaker's Sync connectivity with MyFord Touch infotainment.
Elsewhere in the Explorer range, the Class III trailer tow pack is now standard on the Sport, base models get new 18-inch aluminum wheels, and there are three new colors on offer: Bronze Fire Metallic and Magnetic Metallic.

2014 Ford Fiesta Titanium

Mon, 28 Oct 2013

You might not be interested in owning a subcompact (B-segment) hatchback for $20,000. Let's be clear from the get go here: there are any number of reasonable arguments for staying away from the highest-content versions of these small cars. Ford's player in the B-segment arena is the newly updated 2014 Fiesta, and the Titanium trim represents the most luxurious instantiation of the model. We recently were loaned a Fiesta Titanium for a week, whose final sticker price hit $20,390, with navigation being the only standalone option added to the bottom line. By way of comparison, the most basic version of the all new, one-segment-up Mazda3 hatchback costs $19,740 with delivery and destination accounted for, and no options added on.
Hold on to that thought for a moment, we'll get back to it.

Ford Tourneo ready for duty in Connect, Courier and Custom flavors [w/videos]

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

Ford was relatively quiet at the Geneva Motor Show, but it did take the opportunity to roll out its new family of Tourneo vans: the Courier, Connect, Grand Connect and Custom. As the passenger version of the Transit cargo vans, the new range of Tourneo models vary from the B-segment Courier up to the fullsize Custom. The Connect and Grand Connect are based on the redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect.
With an overall length just three inches longer than the Fiesta hatchback, the Tourneo Courier seats four to five passengers, and it offers a choice of three engines: the 1.0-liter EcoBoost or two small diesels. Like the 2014 Transit Connect was saw in Paris last year, the Tourneo Connect comes in a five-seat configuration while the Grand Connect can seat seven. Finally, the Tourneo Custom seats up to nine passengers, and it is available in two lengths up to 210 inches long putting it just six inches shorter than a standard-length E-Series van and about a foot longer than the Explorer.
