See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"Cab is in very nice shape, flat deck has 5th and ball. Rear inner left dually needs to be replaced.Flat bed is off an older truck so there is some rust but its very solid."

This Super Duty F-550 is powered by dealer maintained and very strong 6.0L, V8, Turbo Diesel Engine. No leaks, smoke or issues. The warranty expired at 200000 and a new turbo was installed last year. High mileage diesels are really a good thing, it shows that the vehicle was taken care of and worked, not driven around the city to get groceries.

The automatic transmission shifts extremely smooth between gears, in addition it has the optional tow selection for the real heavy loads. AC is ice cold all power features work as they should.

Most of the mileage is highway, this truck was used to haul 5th wheel and goose neck trailer. For a reasonable fee I can deliver the the truck to the winning bidder. I'm not the least worried about driving her anywhere

The exterior and interior of this cab is in very good shape, some light scratches. The bed was a custom job and is rusting in certain areas, due to it was on a previous frame.

My last big trip was to Texas, this truck is very good on gas and performed just like it always has, excellent.

Inner drivers side rear dually tire needs to be balanced or replaced.

The title is clear and there are no liens on this vehicle. This a fantastic running truck and I am honest and open with all known issues so that I can keep my 100% rating.

Chevy Silverado frame twist test a marketing victory versus Ford

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

The pickup market is so competitive that all three major American makers are constantly trying to find a way to prove their product is the best. The new 2015 Ford F-150 is grabbing headlines at the moment by winning awards and posting segment best numbers. But in a new video, Chevrolet is taking aim squarely at the 2015 F-250 Super Duty in a battle of heavy-duty truck supremacy against the 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD... well, in a single metric anyway.
The big numbers from pickups often come down to payload, towing rating and fuel economy, but for this test, Chevy and Howie Long are challenging the torsional rigidity of the trucks' frames, specifically which one flexes less. Long plays the everyman here having the Chevy engineer explain what's going on in the tests. Unsurprisingly for a video on Chevy's official YouTube page, the 2500HD wins out by a good margin. The company also reports that similar results as shown here have been certified in third-party testing.
Check out the video to see the full test. While this might seem like a marketing win for Chevy, Ford isn't immune to it, either. In 2009, the Blue Oval uploaded a similar video comparing the flex under 225 pounds of weight from the bare frames of the F-150, Chevy Silverado, Dodge Ram (as it was still called at the time) and the Toyota Tundra. The results fell in the Blue Oval's favor, as you can see here.

2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.

How Ford hid the 2015 Mustang from spy photographers

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Now that we've finally seen the 2015 Ford Mustang, it's fun to go back and look at the spy shots we spent months pouring over, trying to dissect what was under all the camouflage. For the most part, Ford did a good job of concealing the car from spy photographers, and it released a video showing how much work went into doing so.
As crude as the Mustang's camo looked, all of the hard plastic, foam, vinyl and ratchet straps were actually created and put in place by a specific design team. The whole idea was to hide the car's identity, but it certainly ended up acting as a magnet for attention, too. According to Ford's press release, it took less than an hour for spy shots to appear online after the car was taken on public roads for the very first time - this is likely in reference to our first official spy shots of the Mustang from June, shown in the gallery below.
Scroll down for a press release and video, which shows footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang testing with minimal camouflage. This is probably the same track session where we got our first look at the Mustang's face back in August.
