1941 FORD PICKUP
THIS IS A SOLID TRUCK FOR IT'S AGE. IT LOOKS TO HAVE A HAD A REPAINT YEARS AGO. THIS WAS AN OLDER HOT ROD THAT HAD AN OLDS ENGINE AND TRANS IN IT. THE PREVIOUS OWNER REMOVED THE ENGINE AND TRANS, BOXED THE FRAME, INSTALLED A 9" FORD DISC REAR END FROM A BABY LINCOLN AND WELDED IN A MUSTANG II FRONT END, THAT WAS AS FAR AS HE GOT. WHEN INSTALLING THE FRONT END HE REMOVED PART OF THE FACTORY VIN STAMP ON THE FRAME NOT KNOWING IT. I FOUND PAPER WORK IN THE GLOVE BOX FROM AN ANTIQUE AUCTION IN 1989 LISTING THE FULL VIN. THIS TRUCK COMES WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY-NO TITLE!
THE HOOD, FRONTEND AND GRILL ARE IN GREAT SHAPE. THE WORSE PART OF THE CAB IS THE LOWER RIGHT A PILLAR WHERE IT CONNECTS TO THE FLOOR. THE DRIVER'S DOOR LOOKS REAL GOOD, BUT THE RIGHT SIDE HAS SOME RUST NEAR THE BOTTOM EDGE. THE DOOR GLASS AND REAR GLASS ARE GOOD, THE FRONT GLASS HAS SOME SUN DAMAGE.
THESE RESTORABLE TRUCKS ARE GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO FIND. THIS ONE HAS ALOT GOING FOR IT. WE ALL KNOW WHAT THESE BABIES GO FOR RESTORED OR HOT RODDED.
ALL I HAVE IS WHAT YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE CALL 479-238-1122 OR 479-228-4304. I CAN ALSO DELIVER THE TRUCK IN THE U.S. FOR $1.50 A LOADED MILE (ONE WAY). THANKS, MIKE

NHTSA will investigate some Ford Fusion, Lincoln MKZ models for power steering issue
Tue, 07 Oct 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is opening an investigation into the 2010-2012 Ford Fusion, Fusion Hybrid and Lincoln MKZ, the 2012 MKZ Hybrid and 2011 Mercury Milan because the agency has hundreds of complaints of electric power steering failure in these models.
According to NHTSA's data, it has received 508 complaints of the power steering allegedly suddenly malfunctioning and resulting in increased effort to turn the wheel. In four incidents, these failures resulted in loss of control and crashes. According to the reports, in some cases a power steering warning message came on as the fault occurred, and other times the system restored itself by turning off and then restarting the vehicle. NHTSA said it has also received further field report data from Ford, but that information hasn't been publicly released yet.
For the moment, there isn't a recall for this failure on these models. NHTSA is just investigating them to "assess the scope, frequency and safety consequences of the alleged defect," and the agency says an estimated 938,000 vehicles could potentially be affected.
Roush getting back into sport compact business with Focus ST mods [w/video]
Wed, 29 May 2013Roush Performance offers a whole raft of parts for folks looking to tune their Ford Mustang and F-150 models, and now Focus owners can start getting in on the hotted-up action, too. Owners of the 2012-13 Focus and 2013 Focus ST can now get a Roush cold-air intake system, and ST owners can also opt for a high-performance cat-back exhaust.
Although all of these components are now available for order, the parts will ship sometime in July; no word yet on pricing. Down the road, Roush will also offer styling upgrades for the Focus as well as performance tuning upgrades such as engine controller, suspension, wheels and tires. Scroll down for a quick video of what the Focus ST exhaust sounds like, as well as a Roush press release.
Thieves still love older Hondas and pickups most, says NICB [w/video]
Wed, 20 Aug 2014No one wants to have their car stolen, but a new study by the National Insurance Crime Bureau has some bad news for older Honda owners and pickup drivers. Fortunately, it has better news for drivers overall. The group is reporting that according to preliminary data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, thefts were down 3.2 percent in 2013 (versus 2012) to fewer than 700,000 cars. That's the lowest figure since 1967. That's also less than half of the peak of over 1.66 million thefts in 1991. "The drop in thefts is good news for all of us," says NICB President and CEO Joe Wehrle. "But it still amounts to a vehicle being stolen every 45 seconds and losses of over $4 billion a year."
Honda drivers might not find it such good news with older Accord and Civic models topping this year's theft study. Toyota and Dodge can't really celebrate, either, with two models each on the list, as well. Overall, this year's list was split evenly between foreign and domestic models, which were mostly pickups.
The 10 most likely vehicles to be stolen in 2013 were:
