I have a really cool and hard to find 1938 Ford for sale. I bought this truck a while back with the intentions of building a super cool rat rod, or hot rod truck. It sits on a 1988 ford ranger frame, and has a chevy 350 small block engine with a New 700R4 trans. The truck is currently not running, but it wouldn't take much to get it on the road.

Here is a list of good and bad in my opinion.

Good: The truck has disc brakes, Ranger frame. the body is in really good shape for the year. (It does have spots of bondo i'm sure! It's a 38 after all. The transmission is a fresh rebuilt 700R4 with over drive, I have two driveshafts that need to be cut and fixed to work with the chevy trans and ford rearend. I have brand new glass for the doors, and the front and rear glass in the truck is good. The floor pan is okay and doesn't have holes in it, but needs to be modified for the chevy trans. Original gauges are still in the truck. This truck isn't perfect, but the exterior of the truck is amazing to me for the year that it is. These trucks don't come around very often.

The Bad: This is still a project truck, and needs work. It doesn't have a gas tank, and will need new wiring throughout the truck. The front tires are old and only hold air for a couple days. It will also need interior. I have two seats for it, but you will need the headliner and door panels done.

I welcome and encourage buyers to come and look at the truck or have someone look at it before bidding. I have described this truck to the best of my abilities, but it is sold as is where is. I will be happy to assist in shipping at the buyers expense, but I prefer to sell local. Feel free to contact me for more pictures, or questions. You can text or call 678-232-342four.

Ford F-150 Tremor to pace NASCAR Truck Series this weekend

Wed, 14 Aug 2013

Ford's bro-tastic F-150 Tremor will be pacing this weekend's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Michigan International Speedway. The Tremor fills a gap in the Ford F-Series lineup that we imagine the NASCAR set have clamored for - a hot-rod pickup truck.
Where the F-150 Raptor is designed to go quick on anything, the Tremor and its 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 are designed to tackle the road. The 365-horsepower and 420-pound-foot EcoBoost is unchanged from the rest of the F-150 line, but it combines the shortest drive ratio with the lightest two-door body, making it a bit of hot rod.
Ford will be offering hot laps with Michigan native Brad Keselowski behind the wheel of the Tremor for fans that arrive in the Irish Hills on August 14. The main showing for the new pickup will be the August 17 race, though, when it'll lead the field at the start of the race and through cautions.

Ford recalls Five Hundred, Mercury Montego sedans over fuel tank woes

Mon, 18 Jul 2011

Ford has announced through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that it is recalling nearly 3,000 examples of its Five Hundred and Mercury Montego (pictured) sedans from the 2007 model year.
The action, which affects 2,945 vehicles, is due to potentially defective welds between the filler neck and the fuel tank, a condition that could result in a fuel leak or the smell of gasoline reaching the occupants. In the worst-case scenario, a leak could cause a fire. Cars with the affected fuel tank problem could see an illuminated dashboard warning light as a result of the evaporative emissions leak being detected.
Ford will inspect and replace the fuel tank at no cost to owners (those who have already had the procedure done at-cost can apply for reimbursement), and the Dearborn automaker will begin notifying Five Hundred and Montego owners beginning August 15. Check out the official NHTSA press release after the jump for further details.

William Clay Ford Sr. dead at 88

Sun, 09 Mar 2014

William Clay Ford, retired vice chairman of Ford Motor Company and the last surviving grandchild of company founder Henry Ford, died this morning after a bout with pneumonia. He was 88.
Ford spent 57 years with his grandfather's company, joining the board of directors in 1948 before graduating from college. Ford also held a position as chairman of the design committee, as well as the chairman of the executive committee and vice chairman of the Board of Directors during his tenure with the company. In a 2013 Detroit Free Press story, retired CFO Allan Gilmour said Ford had an eye for design, and was once able to pick out when a fiberglass model of a Ford Contour was asymmetrical, off by an inch on one side. He retired and assumed the position of director emeritus in 2005.
"My father was a great business leader and humanitarian who dedicated his life to the company and the community," said Bill Ford, Jr., Ford's current executive chairman. "He also was a wonderful family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him, yet he will continue to inspire us all."
